  1. As said though, the actual cost of the car itself is pretty low, its all the other things, shipping, insurance, tax etc. which bump up the price. I've seen manual twin turbo supras on trade car view for like 4 grand, but by the time its landed here its a bit more than that lol.
  2. Cant believe how sexual that bonnet is !! Proper one off like, shame theres none for the GT though...
  3. Have a read through shauns importing guide, very useful. />http://www.ukstarletowners.com/index.php?showtopic=59347&hl=
  4. Sexy car marc, i've been collecting a few bits to make mine look like a MK1
  5. Liked that wee story, lol at americans. I'm a mechanic, a car is a car really but it helps to specialise in a particular make obviously. In my work there are two franchises, citroen and hyundai, i do the hyundais thankfully so rarely do much on the french pieces of shit. Some places have electrical techs though that only really do those type jobs, but best to do it all. Only thing i despise is stripping and rebuilding gearboxs, but being a hyundai tech i've had atleast one a week solid for fucking ages.
  6. You will need front headlights too, if doing a rep, as the N/A ones dont line up with the glanza bonnet iirc.
  7. Pm paulstarletsr, he had one going cheap for a N/A
  8. Happy new year to all UKSO'ers. Hope we are all, eh...burp...., feeling ok...damn the pubs, why they make shots a quid ?
  9. Oh yeah, its the other way about that fit.
  10. On another note i'd be interested in the cage if it was going cheap enough.
  11. I dont know why nobody took them off your hands dude, that could have been an awesome wee setup for a 91.
  12. Well thats quite a situation, personally i'd go for body work first, have it looking awesome. Painted, kitted, handling, brakes etc. And run about in it like that for a while on the stock N/A engine. Then once you have had a wee bit fun, take it offroad for the 5e turbo swap. Personal preference mind, is there really a rush to rip it to bits soon as it lands ?
  13. I would but my misses would fucking kill/leave me if there were two starlets outside LOL.
  14. That is not bad, cost me 300 quid to get my GT shell, basically what it was, from west midlands area to me, central scotland, just over 300 miles. Didnt shop about though, was a company the enzo advised.

    Glanza door

Paisley freight charge 25 quid to move a door or 30 quid for a highlands postcode.
  16. If it was near me i'd have it. Costs 300 quid to get that moved to me.
  17. Looks like a fair enough base, cant go wrong with cheap as long as you are going to replace everything anyway. Its when people buy cheap and expect to run it the way it is, that when you run into problems.
  18. Sure mark1991 i think is username is, made a custom screamer out the bumper, looked awesome.
  19. That is a bargain for someone, got a spare 5 mins to take the battery earthing kit off dude ?
  20. Get a room you guys lol. Gotta admit i do like to perv at starlets haha.
  21. Yeah man ramps are a life saver, miss my ramp when am working on ma car or a mates. Just realised i am a messy bastard looking at that peugeot pic lol, hope the customer dont see it haha.
  22. Those gloves have served me well haha. I find being a mechanic comes in very handy when working on my own car, although i've spent quite a lot of cash on tools and my box but doing homers pays for them so its all good !! Wish i could use my ramp to build the GT but we are not allowed to. I still enjoy working on my own car but some of the older lads cant be fucked with it.
  23. And a job i got the day, headgasket on a peugeot, could not wait to bail on that.
  24. My nice freshly painted ramp, wonder how long that will last lol.
  25. Heres mine, not too bad... Will get other pics up in a min.
