    Hmmmm, it should only be held in with the c-clip which is probably well fucked. Unless the driveshaft went in the splines not aligned, but i doubt it. Have you tried a gear puller on it ? If you can get the legs to fit under the lip of the cup without them sliding out, could be worth a shot.

    You need to wedge a really thick chisel between the cup and the box, then hit the chisel downwards with a hammer. It should pop the cup out

    EMB is a very good choice, lots of people run it. Can be bought and mapped for around the 500 quid + mark. Thats what i'll go for.

    Shouldnt need much more, decat ignition leads good spark plugs and service etc adjustable actuator 255 fuel pump uprated exhaust manifold or ported oem But its probably gonna start hitting fuel cut so you'll need some kinda management too.

    Yeah early C52 boxes had 6 bolt diffs. Should work on a MK1 GT then ?

    Yeah i read a post recently where sacha at wepr i think was talking about the exact same thing. High bhp on stock internals. But personally i wouldn't trust a FCD as fuel cut is there for a reason, but that car does have a nice list of fuelling mods though. Wonder where it was setup / dyno'd ?

    Right i'm really not sure what it is, first i thought MK1 in 6L2 / 4L5 but with MK2 rear lights and front bumper. Then i thought GT limited but the lower panels dont look grey to me, more beige. MK2 GT limited with a glow panel.

    Its mainly the beam pattern they fail on, they are always out of alignment and the beam is scattered all over the place. Also starlet headlamps tend to go quite misty over time, this doesn't help either.

    MK2 bits should be pretty easy to come by like you say. Not gonna bother with MK1 seats, door cards, dials etc. Managed to get rear lights, boot and glow panel so far !! Hope you find what you need.
