At the end of the day, you asked them to do something and they ballsed it up, then still want paying. It's like ordering a meal and having them bring you something else, then demand you pay for it! It's their fault for not being more professional; their mistake, their loss not yours!

Are those tyres 45s or 50s? Always liked those wheels and gold on black looks boss! Will be even better when it's lowered haha ;) -
Celica??

Welcome along - loving the civic, I'm a big fan of the retro styling

Well as some of you may have seen, my tidy '96 Si was ram-raided by an angry granny in a auto VW Polo who "got confused between the pedals" (apparently yes, 2 is too many), while I was sat at some traffic lights. The repair costs were looking to be horrendous, so sadly I have had to give up on him and have replaced him with another tidy '96 ST. It's pretty tidy but could do with an aesthetic tidy up here and there so those'll be the first jobs to do. However, he drives perfect with a genuine 63k on the clock, so I'm happy enough for now. Spec is pretty unexciting at the moment but I'll update as things gradually get done! Here's a few snaps from the day: And then a couple from up at my parents' the next day, when we basically turned it back into an Si again haha: On the left is my dead Si, Galliano's ST in the centre and then my new one on the right. In the background you can also see my black Si breaker, so now I have spares and 5es coming out of my various orificees lol. Have a couple of parts to go on and a couple of smaller bits planned that I want to get done soon, so hopefully I'll have some updates before long!

Poor little guy, he never stood a chance against the GT haha. But as long as it smells nice then you just know everything will work out ok haha! (although the fact it still starts is obviously a bonus too lol)
-
Haha love this On the other hand, your n/a was looking pretty smart too before you got the GT, so silver linings and all that jazz lol ;) It'll be looking extra minty for the spring once you're done with it though I don't doubt!

★Amjad's GT Advance ッ★ December updates!
Fozzie replied to Amjad's topic in EP80/EP82 Progress Blogs
Love those rims on there, looks nuts seeing how wide they are from the back lol -
Hmmm interesting, I guess there's no solid way to know without just jumping in and doing a trial fit then!
-
This is true the strut may be an issue, I would've thought the brakes would be ok though unless the calipers are uprated?

I think Aviva have an offer on atm, if you're a new customer and you do the whole process online you get the equivalent of like, 5 weeks free or something? I can't remember it exactly off the top of my head but it may be worth a quick look... Have you tried Sky Insurance on here? They do discounts for club members and everyone says they usually come out the cheapest.

The higher the width, the less likely you are to want to run spacers with it. For instance you'd be unlikely to want to run 7J wheels with spacers as they would probably foul the arches something fierce. And 8J wheels with spacers would probably be more out of the arch than in lol. You would want et40 to try and match the OEM fitment, but could probably get away with upto et20/25 if you didn't mind doing some light arch work (^ as Amjad said, lower offsets do look sweet). Obviously you could do more as anything is technically possible if you have the time and money, but that fitment should minimise the hassle somewhat. Having said that, some people still have problems with 7J around et40 I think so I guess it's a bit of just suck it and see!

Clean + lip kit + white wheels = omnomnom I shall be very jealous once this is boosted and I'm still using Flintstones power

I love reading the stuff on this thread, it's like 'banged on some Wilwoods I have lying about' and 'picked up a rear disc conversion' etc etc. Next it's gonna be 'plonked in a forged 4e I'd been using as a coffee table' and 'slapped on some Meisters that I've been using as door-stops for months' haha ;) Looking forward to seeing it all cleaned up buddy, white Paseos look the titties IMO
-
Welcome along mate, we need moar photos! ;)
-
Yea that's the problem! Originally just planned some springs, clean it up a bit and maybe stick on some Speedlines or some other cheap wheels. Now I'm pretty tempted by some of those ISC coilovers, maybe some XXR wide wheels, better seats and a retrim, possibly a full lip kit etc etc, the list never ends haha! Really fancy a go at getting a 4E in there too, but I doubt that'll be within my budget anytime soon

Welcome along buddy

Saw it at Eurogamer last weekend and it looked pretty unForza-ish tbh, looked nothing like the earlier games, which is a little concerning! Definitely seems more arcade-y than before
-
Cheers buddy, it's true, at the rate they're being stripped there won't be any left in another 5 years! Keen to get more done on the new one than I had a chance to before

Well, small update; Pressly will shortly be no more The quotes from the bodyshops were far too high to warrant the cost, he was going to be £1000+ to sort and was never going to look or handle quite the same again. On the upside, I have managed to find a pretty mint replacement, which I am due to be picking up on Saturday morning! Same colour and year, with a genuine 63k on the clock. It's an ST, so I loose my ABS and I'll have to swap my alloys over, but all in I think it's a small inconvenience. With any luck this one will last long enough for me to have a chance at a 4E conversion! I'll start a new thread over the weekend once I've got the new one home; 360 mile round-trip to do first lol.

I've only been on UKSC for about 6 months, so I don't really know Enzo but I have to say he does seem to take little interest in the forum. The only posts I really see from him tend to be moaning about running the site... :/ And like aaddzz said on UKSC (even though I haven't met many people on here face to face), it's how nice everyone is that has kept me coming back; to me it's what separates this forum from all the others out there. It seems to me like Matt has the interests of the community at heart and I'll certainly be sticking around here (with my filthy Paseos )

You could always try this: http://www.mydigitallife.info/hack-to-activate-microsoft-office-2007-evaluation-trial-version/ It may read a bit complicated, but it's well explained and should at least get you going for now?

I'm guessing the price is high because it's forged with new collies etc? Don't ask me I don't even own a starlet haha ps. Had a cheeky read through your build thread at lunch; loving your GT Tempting me to get one myself lol
