    Check earths again, test battery/altanator maybe look more into starter motor/ solonoid just a wild guess had something similar on another car

    Worth a look have u checked air fillter or fins on turbo maybe something simple like a sensor

    Green one with 2 wires is a fan switch the smaller is coolent temp sensor I Believe

    Check the thermostat switch located on the housing could be faulty & think engine is up to temp

    Could just be moister in the air mixing with oil quite common u could do a compression test ect just for peace of mind

    White smoke could be just condensation on first start up ? If not I would say u have put the hoses on the throttle body the wrong way round check to see if coolent has mixed with your oil as for high idle could be a vacume leak?check inlet mani throttle body hoses ect if not could be idle valve?

    Thanks thought this as well my main concern is where the carpet ends is the door on a 3 door longer than a 5 door

    Sounds like thermostat not a 100% but think they are the same as UK spec
