  1. Sorry i should've worded it better lol, I have one booked for this Friday but i cant make it Friday now, can i change it to next week? Over the phone?
  2. Lads up north does anyone know if you can change an mot date if you give 5 days notice?
  3. I got speaking to another fella who has built his own vauxhall racing engines and says low pressure is to be expected straight after a rebuild. Over the course of the bedding in miles things need to wear in i.e the valves become seated and as you bed the rings in as well as other things gradually the compression increases.
  4. I get where you're coming from Daniel makes a bit more sense to me that way! Thanks, and tbh I wouldve expected the leakdown test done, but I know for a fact they company closed early the day I got the engine back so it coulda been thrown together and out the door if you get me. And they hadn't noticed I'd left pistons with the engine so they didn't start the work til the day before I got the engine back - a bit off topic but there's doubts in my head thinking about it now. There was water lost in the 20 mile driving home so a headgasket is still possible. BUT.. I tried to warm the car up t
  5. Right I'm going to do that now mate. What should I be expecting roughly? To be honest I was expectin about 160-170 there
  6. Ino mate, bit worried here! What is a wet test mate? Is it for checking the rings?
  7. I did a compression test there using a good snap-on tester and found: 85, 85, 84, 85. Now I don't know an awful lot but I know somethings up here? Engines only rebuilt, not by me by an engine reconditioning company and has only had 20miles run in before the test... Now the engine was cold I must admit but I don't wanna start the engine up and let it run to optimum tempeature if there is something severely wrong here..feels like it! Anyone shed any light?
  8. I agree, immaculate GT never seen one in as good condition
  9. What bout an aftermarket manifold Scott? And i dunno if youve did it but you can relocate your air filter to behind the grill for even cooler air intake, even with the fmic it can help
  10. I should've done proper reading up before i bought my shells as i never knew ACL's had such a short life span. Would you only expect as much as 25k give or take a few thou before needing to replace them? Adam is there a tutorial on fitting a new oil pump anywhere, after reading this i think i would prefer to fit a new one asap?
  11. I second that. Check the rear calipers mine my left one got a bit sticky and was braking constantly, definately didnt help my mpg. Lol.. Everyone says it smelt of petrol big time after i removed the cat but am i the only one who loved the smell?? lol
  12. Agreed 100% that sounds like a lot of fun lol. Incorporating the hunting side of farcry into a zombie game would actually give it a realistic feel - well realistic to an extent..it is zombies after all lol. But it would be better crafting your own items, finding a place to hold out and using crossbows etc rather than protecting an already existing safehouse with gatling guns and double barrel shotguns all the time haha
  13. hahaha..holy fuck i just seen this!! you got served farmboy..in the arse...brutally..
  14. No worries thanks mate, would there be a difference in the readings hot or cold?
  15. I am legend game would be amazing!! constantly shiten them mate especially when you hear a hunter cry or smoker cough lol thats the f***in hunters lol
  16. true. thanks mate. do i do the test under wide open throttle as in foot down? my friend said not to bother with that just crank it for 7-8 seconds, any reason why you do it either way?
  17. It will be well worth it mate!! It would be great to have a whole convoy heading.. Where use heading from lad? Defo lol not because its closest or anything
  18. What you thinking of bud gt or glanza? Thats dead on im gonna get that done tomorrow then. Looks as though all vac/hose lines were the right way aswell, so im hoping it was just condensation.. It was sheet white every morning from sunday to this morning so probably would be a brave bit of moisture! I'll take it for a short run when i can and check the water levels, whats my position if its using lots of water? Could it be head gasket related even after a rebuild?
  19. Thats true, hopefully it is something minor. On another note.... is that you're R35? lol
  20. Lol.. I know exactly how you feel mate, i've only owned the GT a year and half that its been getting rebuilt so any wonder! Im hopeful but still not convinced about the cold temp thing until i know for sure thats the problem. Until then ill just worry my nutsack off everytime i look at it! haha
  21. mine also had both due to be lying around for a few months waiting on the engine lol
