    you see next to the rubber i moved it a bit you can see the extra meat on the bar

    nope on the turbo shafts there is thinner thicker metal at the spot for the ring/rubber to hold it in place

    on my gt there is a reces in the middle of the long shaft for the round rubber im not sure if thats stock on the v but it could be a different drive shaft u have there

    you sure the other shaft is from ep82/91

    those are deffo 5efhe rods and by the look of it gt rods must be a gen1 5efe where you got them out off :)

    high idle can be a vac leak on the inlet manni check them al there

    sounds like the rubber seal/flap isnt air tight after re-installing take the ewg appart again and recheck it

    undo the gearbox bolts and lift engine out up top put a jack under the gbox and jack up gentle and engine will come out easy you need to put the jack ob the belhousing lip/edge

    yes i read a thread on tgtt of it that they work as an upgrade over stock from the 4age 16V got to find them cheap tho ??

    if he is lucky and its only the piston then it can be fixed in situ sump off head of and replace i fixed a few local that way still going strong
