she had a hard slap !!!! i would be checking the leg where the wishbone ataches to it ( front section ) i had a smack in my old 1 hittin a pole and did the same to the bracket !!! and also pulled my leg out ( front section where the front of wishbone ataches to chassi )had to scrap the shell because when pulling strait it kept on pulling back out
shell is chrussed now !!
if your on a weight saving mode i would strip everything even dash and weld 2 brackets to the steering rack to hold the cluster in plave and thats it

i se your point there russ but if the topic starter could make the brackets to 280mm then its strait fit to 280mm with no lathe work !! i personaly think thats what al of us would be after to save a bit of cash over the years :)

well mate extension brackets for the levin twin pots setup on our starlets from 260 to 300 or 320mm
loads of peeps will be ordering them if they ever came in production :)
wel you wont be able to destroy the rods carl the oem 4efte pistons break before the rod i cracked 3x pistons and never a rod before i forged my 5e few years back now
unless your able to get some forged pistons to work on them you will have to get an engineers to rework the smal end on the rods for forged floating pins to work
nooooo way my V rods that i have here are waaaay scinnier then that on the neck carl , the glanza v deffo had an engine swap out of a gt im very sure about that 1 , there 100% gen1 rods wich is goood
