ChaseWheatley Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 (edited) Has anyone here built a 10,000-11,000 rpm 4e-fte? Or do I have to be the first that is going to build one? Edited March 12, 2018 by ChaseWheatley Quote
daniel_g Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 9k is the highest ive seen. What parts do you plan on using? Quote
ChaseWheatley Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 I’m fitting titanium pauter rods. Custom ti valves and springs. Custom dry sump. I’m running a Garrett gtx2860r gen 2 turbo atm. I’ll change and make tweaks as I go. I’ll changed the cans if needed after testing Quote
ChaseWheatley Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 The head is heating a port and polish also Quote
Calum122 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Tidy, why do you need the high RPMs? Is there any power to make it in that region? Quote
5e colin Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 9200 you going to have to get a custom cradele made to hold the crank in place or she will walk out of the block instead of 5 caps holding the crank 1 solid custom machined unit to keep her tight youd be max porting the head for sure plenty more that needs doing tbf Quote
ChaseWheatley Posted March 14, 2018 Author Posted March 14, 2018 Yeah I’ll build it no mater what it takes. Why do I want that high rpm. For a wider power band and that sound. Nothing beats that sound Quote

I’m having custom ones made my friend and a one off forged crank. But I may not use ti rods but a light rotating mass would be better just shitty about the ti fatigue life Quote
akyakapotter Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Custom mains and crank that's gonna cost £££s good investment imo Cheers nick. Quote

RobSR Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Custom crank for the price of a turbo kit sounds cheap to me! Who’s doing the work? You can already buy billet caps off the shelf in America. What ecu are you planning to use that can cleanly trigger to 11,000-11,500 rpm? Quote

I know I can but I might as well just get it all made at the one place. Quote

daniel_g Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 If they supplied them to your engine builder, that would be great. http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3314 Quote
