Buying front MeisterR coilovers to get it through the MOT, and then buying the rears near the end of the month.

MeisterR's (fronts only for now) should be here tomorrow.

Just got to get them fitted and wheel stud changed which is being done either tomorrow or saturday.

Also need to give the front calipers another coat of paint.

The whole car needs a fucking good clean (will get pics).

Sunday = VTEC time.

First impressions:

Fuck me it's quick compared to the N/A Starlet! And sounds so fucking good, VTEC is addictive.

At first I thought there was something seriously wrong with the handling but it turns out someone at the garage had been fucking around with the coilovers and one was set 4 clicks away from fully soft and the other a few clicks away from hard.

I've now set it 12 clicks away from fully soft, going to try it a bit firmer tonight.

Will be better when I get coilovers on the rear aswell, then it's going to go even lower all round and I'll have a good play around getting it set up a bit better.

I've only been driving it for 2 days yet it feels like I've been driving it for months, it's so nice and easy to drive. The gearbox isn't as compliant as the Starlet one, it's lovely when you get it right but it's very precise in the sense that you can't fuck around with it, requires a bit more finesse than just banging it into gear.

Steering is much better feeling compared to the Starlet although no power steering can be awkward when parking but 99% of the time it's fine.

I haven't really thrown it round any corners properly yet but you can tell it's got plenty of grip.

Brakes are decent, but the ABS is a cunt and very unpredictable, sliding isn't fun lol.

When the weather's decent I'll give it a proper good polish and take some pictures.

Had the car on the road for a week and now the drivers side is dented to shit, broken wing mirror, dent in the bonnet.

Basically me and some mates were sat on a car park minding our own business when suddenly a load of lads come from no where and start kicking the shit out of everything, my car has dents all up the drivers side and the wing mirror is fucked.

I am so pissed off, I wait fucking months to get this on the road, have it for a week and now this happens, I have the worst luck ever.

On a better note I'm going to order the rear coilovers soon.

But this shit is now going to cost me more money just because of some mindless pricks.

My car looks shit now though I'm losing interest in it. And now the weekend is going to be shit, had been waiting all week to give the car a good clean and go for a drive.

I know what you mean mate when things never seem to look up for your car... they will though, take the opportunity to get the body work mint over winter, break the beast out in the summer with some fresh rubber and full street camber set up and enjoy pasting everything round the twisties

Was nothing I could do really if I had tried getting out the car I would have been greeted with a load of feet in my face, the height of the CRX puts it just right for a boot in the face when getting out of it.

And atleast 4-5 against one wouldn't have gone down too well either way.

But onwards and upwards, rear coilies ordered, getting quotes for repairs tomorrow, once that's all sorted and I'm square with my money again then I've made up a little list of a few things to get, strut braces, big brake kit, exhaust manifold, new induction kit, full service, polybushes, etc...

Some Biker cut me up on a dual carridgeway causing me to have to swerve to avoid hitting him on saturday then when we came to traffic lights he started saying he was going to kill me and proceeded to kick and punch my doors and rear quarter panels. Luckilly (if it can be lucky) i only have a small dent in one door but i was still shocked by this idiot and i will have to claim via court for his actions. The Police arrested him for a Section 4 Public Order Offence and Criminal Damage to my vehicle.

@ rorenapier I actually thought about it afterwards - I should have reversed and ran the cunts over but at the time it happened so quick, infact it took me a few seconds to even realise what was going on.

I've got a dent repair specialist coming to look at the car tomorrow, but one of the dents is going to need some serious work as it's cracked the paint so may end up costing me a fair bit.
