iamlegend
I have noticed my windows go down pretty slow at times, now i use the switch on the drivers side and passenger side so the motors seem to be fine! next thing i am thinking is the battery i need a new battery anyways as it looks old and had the odd battery light on but not anymore.think it will solve the problem??its pretty annoying at times goes the window goes fast halfway down then takes ages(like a snail in a race) to go fully down

bucketep91
an ignition amplifier will help. mines doing the same atm its a pain in the arse, could also be your window motors ready to break!

1bar
manual wind ups ftw
Raz
I prefer wind up ones tbh, less weight. But in other cars i will prefer electric one lol where the weight doesn't matter so much.
lukEp
If you battery light has come on it alternator not charging it won't be the battery, battery problems are slow lazy starting or quickly discharging and going flat by just listening to the radio. You got to remember the mech on these windows are at least 12years old now and after constant use will wear. Try dry silicone spray on the runners that locate the glass and see if there's an adjuster in the door to compensate for the wear I know rover have something similar. Also if your engine is struggling to idle when under load maybe an earthing check to make sure your body/engine has a good earth maybe an earthing kit.

LukeSR
Wind-ups may be faster, but we don't have to climb over to wind the passengers down
