Idrees
Love the little decal but I think it would of looked better going up at a slant above the headlight if you know what I mean Nah, everyone else has it there so I thought I'd be a little different.(Okay I may be lying a little bit. My bonnet pin came in the way so this is the second best place I could fit it!)Just dropped the car off to have the brakes sorted. Rear shoes were gone and one of the cylinders were leaking too. So I got the new bits (£15 for shoes and £14.50 for the cylinder) and got some Dot 4 fluid at the same time. I might be lucky enough to finally have some proper brakes! SiCaln
y did u not use 5.1 fluid Id?
Idrees
For stock brakes? Why would I?!I collected the car earlier but my brakes are still a little spongy. They are loads better (obviously) because there was no brake feel at all before, but they still feel a little slack
Asad
They may just need bleeding again.....take it back n get em to do it properly
Sparky
Stock brakes are "slack"
Idrees
They are so soft compared my brothers, and the only upgrades he has is 3G front discs and a rear disc conversion. The pedal definitely needs to be a bit more sharp.
Asad
Bleed it n go from there....can always get the brake hoses to improve things what are the front pads like?
Idrees
Pads have not even done 1000 miles. I'll go back to get them bled tomorrow then.
Asad
Get all four sides bled (not sure how they did it before?)
Sparky
Should be bled in order of furthest from master cylinder (rear left) working your way to the closest one last
ste91
Maybe get some braided lines if they still feel slack afterwards?
Idrees
I'll see what happens, I'm gonna pop down now.
Liam_D
New brakes will feel a bit spongey for a short while, while they bed in. Give them a few thousand and they should be back to normal.
Asad
Any up date mate?
Idrees
Yeah, he said he only bled one side for some reason. Taking it back tomorrow and hopefully he will do them all for me then. Also, didn't get the exhaust fitted. The welder who was supposed to do it was ill and off work, so hopefully tomorrow.
