Glanza Mac
Just about finished the wiring on the front end Still needs taping up properly but was getting late last night Nicely tucked out the way There is one wire I'm unsure what to do with which you can see in the picture above, it's one cable with 3 wires inside and I'm unsure how to lengthen it out but a quick chat to a friend who is an electrician and I'll be complete Rob. jimmymac101
You can class this as a success even if the turbo side of the plan doesn't work out ...... You have a working running b18 glanza! James
Glanza Mac
Well Yeahh that's true :-) cheers.. But I won't be happy until I have successfully put down some decent power and not just a one of dyno run :-) Rob.
Glanza Mac
Got a bit done over the weekend as I had it off work :-) Finished of the extending of the loom and taped it up Ordered some p clips to hold the loom out the way so it doesn't rub on anything Oil return flange came so bolted her up, also needed a quick flatten down near the bolts to make fit Abs delete I bought a while ago Hmm what going on here The lip was a bit to wide and was catching slightly on ny tyreSorted Also started to strip my brakes, new grooved discs coming I've also bought a fair few turbo bits, I.e fittings for the oil and water so updates when I receive them :-) Rob. Glanza Mac
So the clutch had come It's a exedy hyper single plate clutch It is used but should get me going as they are rated to 400-450bhp and I payed less than what the flywheel alone would cost :-) Also had a ticket through the post from royal mail, item doesn't fit in the letter box but I've only bought one big item so hopefully it's my downpipe :-D Rob. Glanza Mac
... No it wasn't my downpipe :-( It was infact a pack of p clips that they thought would go through the letterbox or be handed to a neighbour, not impressed I got my turbo fittings on Fitted my rear grooved discs Also painted my calipers and an old wheel nut electric orange to match my K Sports The front The finish isn't brilliant as the calipers and carriers were corroded but it's better than they was, not sure on the wheels nuts, it was the other half's idea so I Did it to keep her involved but I'm not sure if it looks a bit tacky.. Any thoughts??Rob. Edited June 22, 2015 by Glanza Mac
Glanza Mac
Had an hour in the garage last night and sorted my loom with the p clips I bought Doesn't look the best but it shouldn't be that visible when my bumper is on and I was a bit generous with the size of the p clips but atleast the loom won't rub :-) My 90 degree bend for the oil feed came also And I picked up the tial bov from Mr Bridgett Monday, pleasure as always I may or may not use this bov tho as I would prefer a black one but it's in new condition, no scratches and the price was right so it was a no brainer :-) News ln my downpipe also... It was in the clearance department of customs on Monday so hopefully when I check the tracking number again it will have been collected to be delivered :-D fingers crossed Rob. Glanza Mac
I had to pay £58 for import tax for my downpipe which I thought wasn't too bad and guess what..Ohh helloooooooooo! The welds are just porn!True purge welded also for the best flow I have actually forgot to take a picture of the whole thing tho haha!More pictures tonight as I may trial fit if I have time :-) Rob. Glanza Mac
I bought it from USA, black works racing made it and it's a beautiful downpipe to match the manifold, can't rate them enough, top work Rob.
Glanza Mac
Here it isIt is a lovely bit of kit but I know I could of had one made cheaper which may of been a better option but I know it's made from the best quality Rob.
Glanza Mac
And.... Bad news :-( I bought a 3" downpipe, the actually pipe itself is 3" but for some reason they put a 2.5" flange so it doesn't fit.I have messaged the company I got it from to see what can be done, hopefully I get some cash back and I'll get someone local to weld a 3" flange on but what a piss take, takes nearly 2 months to arrive on my doorstep and £300 later and it's still not right :-( Also radiator is back out and marked up ready for my water return Quick drill and weld this an 6 fitting too it Front water bung removed ready for a hole drilled in the middle and a m10 thread put in so I can buy a m10x1.5 to an6 fitting for my water feed Rob.
