Chris Green
Well, I suppose this is over due an update. I started stripping her when I had a few minutes spare, over the last 3 weeks. To date I have made steady progress with the majority of the engine bay stripped out. Realistically, all I need to do now is remove the drive shafts and mounts and she'll be ready for lifting out. Once the lump is out, I will remove the servo, brake & fuel lines, so the bay will be ready for prepping for paint. Here are a few photos so far. As you can see there ain't much left in there. On to today's updates, I have just spend the best part of 2 hours hiding in my man cave grabbing part numbers & firing them off to Toyota, here's the list & prices. vizzioarts
Some parts list chris!Updates on this are exciting. Can't wait to see the rebuild take shape.
Chris Green
It is indeed buddy, renewing everything near enough. I want the bay to be factory fresh! Still got a list of aftermarket parts the length of my arm too. Should be taking shape shortly, with that batch of parts en route.
ro55ifumi
Now that is some list, bet the parts guy was happy!! John
Chris Green
I'm sure they were lol, plan is to get all of these bolts treated either anodized, painted or zinc coated. Really looking forward to getting 100+ bags for Toyota lol. Hopefully will be pulling the engine out this weekend. While I'm waiting for the parts to arrive, alot of cleaning will be done and prep for the engine bay paint.
Nanglebadger
nice to see an update buddy!!!! thats a hell of a list!!! Phil.
Chris Green
It sure is and costing just a tad over £500, I think it's a bargain. Should be plenty over the coming months.

Chris Green
A box of Toyota parts arrived at a Ford Garage on Tuesday... Odd, I know.

5e colin
what did you spill on the block for the paint to be eaten away and rust like that ????
Chris Green
The part that's not rusty is covered in oil mate. I would say 12k miles in 10 months, & exposure to the elements + dodgy block paint has done it.

Chris Green
It is a sad site, but she'll rise again!
Chris Green
No further progress has been made, but another 2 boxes of OEM Toyota parts have landed, to complete the set. Tomorrow shall see the rest of the bay stripped (hang over depending) and possibly the dash stripped. Pretty much decided that the bay will be painted Honda Pirates Black.
