*Zoe*
Hi, Just as the title says really,Whats the benefit of going to a CT9 hybrid?Sorry if this has been asked before but cant find anything Cheers
Starlet__SR
Which hybrid you looking at going for? Best thing to do is search for a few feedback threads and find some results on swaps, are you wanting more boost or response?D
string
normally more flow. better performance at over a bar. enlarged wastgate. personally i'd get std ct9 ported and save money for other things. like parts for adams gt
madmax_926
my tongs ct9 hybrid is being fitted as well as boost controller fpr and a new air filter kit im currently 200bhp at 0.9 i will post my results with the tongs when i get car back
Glanza_cl
More POOOOWEERRRRZZ! basically
mattyD
main benefits are top end really, from my swap over id say 1st/2nd gear pull are reasonably similar but once you reach third you can tell the difference for sure i used to keep with my mates 106 on the standard ct9 now with the hybrid he doesnt stand a chance, also give focus st's etc a good run for there money and im only boosting 0.7 ;)
Starlet__SR
You'll be sacrificing some response compared to the standard CT9. You can run plenty of power with standard turbo and the correct mods.Ask DavidAshton, he ran 212 at a dyno day once lolD
mattyD
Ask DavidAshton, he ran 212 at a dyno day once lolDsurely that is classed as an awesome result with the standard ct9?
Starlet__SR
surely that is classed as an awesome result with the standard ct9?I guess so lol. Was at like 1.2bar if I remember correctly lol. You'll have to check his old build thread to back it upD
mattyD
haha, i bet the poor little snail was straining its nuts off at that kinda boost, lol
lew777
I always thought the ct9 was pretty much maxed out at 1 bar
TrisK
I always thought the ct9 was pretty much maxed out at 1 barits ok at 1.1/1.2.just its like a blowtorch. so you need a good cooler
mattyD
I always thought the ct9 was pretty much maxed out at 1 bari think it can boost to 1.1 maybe 1.2 at a push, but doubt it would last very long! a hybrid ct9 will boost to about 1.4 but again will be straining like fook
Amjad
Aren't most hybrids only rated to 1.2/1.3 too?
Starlet__SR
Aren't most hybrids only rated to 1.2/1.3 too?Normally 1.4bar which is what the warranty stretches toD
Amjad
Could've sworn the Tongs ones (most common I guess) are 1.2/1.
aaddzz123
personally i'd get std ct9 ported and save money for other things. like parts for adams gt haha! I like this As everyone is saying really... Bit more power and it should also reduce if not eliminate boost creep with the penny enlarged but still can't be 100% if you run that extra boost.... Tbh for the price of a hybrid it's cheaper to go toyosport td04 and you'll have bigger power gains...... plus it'll look cooler on your signature if it says td04 somewhere. Very rich words coming from someone who's considering going back to CT9 lol. Everyones different though lol, I prefer the response to just one big kick. But then again, you I may change my mind over winter lolD
