3/12/2012 Update - TrisK's Daily Polo - Stance/Fitment/Low etc

Recommended Posts

Well, i had my Glanza. and decieded i wanted rid so that the girlfriend and I save some money to move in together.

I was driving my sisters 1.4 8v fiesta for a bit, and after the glanza that made me want to end my life. so i went looking for something cheap.

I found a Polo GTI. 2000, with 88,000 miles. Just had a new clutch, cambelt and service and 4 new tyres.

I offered him a cheeky 1400, he said 1800, then eventually we met half way. I was happy.

Heres one of the only pictures I have:

The polos are known for coming with the BBS's as standard, but they are known for corroding badly so first job was to clean these up:

Decieding that was enough a few mates and me spent a couple of weekends with the sand paper and rattle cans:

It then sat like this for a little bit

before i decided it was far to high and bought some suspension to do this:

and thats where it stands now

all thats left to do is so spacers, and my mate owes me a favour so will wrap the mirrors (and maybe the roof) gloss black for me.

its no glanza, but its ok for now

any opions, guessing your all gonna hate it :) but as i keep telling myself when i own my own house itll be worth it!

you traitor... If it aint Jap its Crap :)

Na, tbh i like these little things, slow... but still cool!

:) x

this is the GTI

so they are 123bhp.

So not that much slower than a standard glanza, and they dont feel like they might fall over in a corner either.

its not amazing, but its more exciting than my sisters fiesta

Tidy runabout :) black wheels ruin the clean look though, I'd have definitely resprayed them silver or maybe a light grey.

i like it, looks smart!!!!

nice and clean and the paint work looks to have come up a treat! kudos to u and your mates on a job well done with the wheels man!

Phil.

theres a lot of stone chips on the bonnet. but i guess thats to be expected with a high milage car (90k).

but it still runs a dream and has had all the major bits done only a few thousand miles ago (cambelt, water + oil pump)

And over all even with the bits ive bought the car owes me well under 2 grand. bargain i think!

i agree they are pointless

but i will be selling this soon (the show cage got given to me and take about 10 minutes to put in and out)

and will probably appeal to the kinda person im going to sell the car (for a profit) too
