Lew91 Posted November 16, 2012 Author Share Posted November 16, 2012 Little update, started to mirror polish a few bits off the engine still a few to do tho. Got a cooling panel off redz11 to which I repolished but unfortunately had to remove the Id-workz sticker, hopefully idrees can sort me out another, looks the dogs dangleys with the black tegiwa washers. Just the oil filter housing, water pump housing and thermostat housing left to polish. Got the block and head to the machinest also, should find out by Tuesday if there any good, just a little worried about the crank. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

All the work I need doing to it tho is going to cost around £350, rebore, crank polish, block skimmed and head skimmed. I didn't think that price was to bad, any thoughts?? Lew91 Posted December 24, 2012 Author Share Posted December 24, 2012 So yesterday the clutch and gearbox decided to go bang on me on the motorway, luckily I wasn't to far from home and got my cousin to come get me with his trailor. This does mean the engines on hold tho until I get the box refurbed and a decent clutch. The clutch has been slipping and juddering all week, think the selector fork and synchro's have gone to I can sit there with the engine running and shift through all the gears clutch down or not and nothing happens. Plans whilst its off the road is to:Obviously new clutch and fly wheel Underseal whole car New brakes and linesClean up engine bay Clean up collies Polish rad and intercooler Hopefully get the door sorted New exhaust maniHopefully new exhaust, hksAnd if I have the time and funds get the engine finished and in. Spent 20 minutes at lunch giving it a quick polish, centre silencer is all polished along with back box, the rest is going to be heat wrapped. Can't wait to get that on the car and to get the car back on the road, I miss boost Gear box has also been sent away with these Just a few more bits to polish and buy, also need to make up my mind on which turbo route to take.
