Lew91 Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Cheers shorty, I'm still in the shed now lol. Alternators being stripped and cleaned along with starter motor and currently sorting through the engine bits ready for it to be rebuilt. Quote

Lew91 Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Cheers mate. These next few weeks will be fairly busy for me, lots of cleaning, prepping and painting to do. I want it on the road pronto! Quote
Lew91 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Decided to redo the cam cover and polished the side bit as I think I'll be going for a clear cam belt cover and adjustable pulley Quote
maddox710 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 That looks wicked lew would be good combo with polished cam gears through the clear cam cover Quote
Lew91 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Cheers buddy, your right that would look nice. Do you know where I would find one? I've found a blue one but I'm not to sure on it and I can't remember the site that I found a whole set on Quote
maddox710 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Would you not be able too polish the stock ones with your skills? Not sure on clear cam covers, hard to come by these days Quote
Lew91 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 I could but I was after an adjustable just in case. I'll have a look through google if not ill get an anodised one and polish that. I think Jezza is doing the clear covers now, I've seen the SPS ones and there not all that fitment wise. The seal always seem to pop out. Quote
maddox710 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Yeah verniers would looks nice behind the clear cover also. Ahh wicked il have a butchers Quote
Lew91 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Yeah I'll have to get on the search Saying that tho I'll give the stock one a little tickle tomorrow and see how it comes out just in case, might need to be laquerd tho. Quote
maddox710 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I've seen a few guys with the adjustable verniers not been able to fit them as the back of them need machining. Just something too look out for Quote
Lew91 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Yeah they were the CJ ones, wouldn't buy any of there stuff again any way lol. Non stop tuning do them but there an American company so not to sure. Quote
Lew91 Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Slow and steady progress as usual but power steering delete is done and looks something like this. I will be having a nice braided hose made up tho as soon as I get time to nip down the plumbing shop. Charcoal canister is removed and uni flow valve put in it place. Looks a bit gash but it'll do for now, I'll move it under the car at some point. Also got the alternator cleaned and sprayed up, nothing special as I couldn't really be bothered to strip it completely and polish the housing as I'd originally planned but it may happen once the engines done. Think that's it for now, will be mocking up the rad tomorrow and hopefully test fitting my new splitter Quote
Chris Green Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Coming along nicely mate, loving the cam cover and alternator Quote
Lew91 Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Cheers buddy just trying to get little bits out the way Quote
maddox710 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Looks wicked man, I've been meaning to get rid of the powersteering pump outta mine, but more worried about the practicality Quote
Lew91 Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Cheers lads. Apparently it's fairly easy to drive and the feel for the road is a lot better, only downside is parking but there small enough to fit in any gap really. Quote

Lew91 Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Give it a go mate, I'd source 2 extra pipes first tho just in case you don't like the feel of it, that way you can just plumb it all back in. It doesn't take long to remove. Quote
shorty Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Looking sweet as fook dude! Is gonna be a shiny ass v!! Stay away from muddy puddles though Quote
