spray intercooler black or not?

well id to weld on some new brackets to my intercooler so while its out ill either polish it up or paint it black! whats yer opinions? some people say black keeps the heat in and dont recomend painting it black lol polishing it will be a balls as the fins are not clean and i wont be able clean the centre of it properly with the fins bein so soft and and bending so im more for sparying it black?

You'll never keep it clean unless its a trailor queen, painting it black will only be a short fix until the flys and stones chip away the paint. Just enjoy it polish the end caps if your that bothered
