whats involved in fitting a set of recaros ?

Recommended Posts

managed to get hold of a perfect condition set of recaros out of a RS turbo is it a case of hacking and welding the rail to make it fit or can I unbolt my stock rails and swap over ?

Either modifying your current rails to get them to fit or buying some EP91 Recaro rails as far as I know dude.

I done this many years ago!

I Just cut the feet off the glanza rails and drilled and bolted the feet on the Rs rails!

thats kinda what I was hoping for, were these out of a rs turbo ? as my recaros have red stitching not grey and they have the horizontal stiching through the middle ?

Ryan how did you fabricate the rail? (What did you use)

My Recaros are gonne be a pain to modify with the existing Evo rails so Grant suggested buying some universal or better, Recaro rails. I'd rather buy Recaro rails but don't want them sitting wonky! Sounds a bit hit and miss with what people have experienced?

yeah was a full bride rail. base and sliders etc. it wasnt noticable sat in it, but looking at it from the back your could see it slightly

urmm ive just use the feet and sliders from the oem rail. cut the parts that bolt to the seat off, then bolted the rail back in the car, measured out the bolt holes in the bottom of the seat and welded 2 flat bars across the rails, drilled holes, welded them to the sliders and bolted the seat on
