morgey
You can claim the repair costs from the councilThe pot hole has to have been reported before and has to be over 4" or something deep.Even then you will struggle to get your money back
Nanglebadger
^^^jay tried this when a pothole swallowed my speedies and broke a spring. no joy. Phil.
davehart
Good luck claiming back from the council, even if you have compiled a whole folder full of evidence to go with your claim. They just don't want to know.

How hard do you have to hit a pothole for a wishbone or trackrod end to get damaged out of curiosity just asking?
Dave D Glanza V
Probably depends on the council, dad managed to claim his suspension damage back on his bmw, all he had was a bill, photos of the hole holding a tape measure to it and photos of the damage was all standerd bits that got replaced I sure they wont repair modified car parts

How hard do you have to hit a pothole for a wishbone or trackrod end to get damaged out of curiosity just asking? It really does depend on your luck, how i didn't break anything when i hit a drainage ditch i don't no, I've seen bent rims and track rods from hitting pot holes at 40mph and I've been in cars hitting them at 80 and been fine! Addymk2
Cracked my windscreen last month.. Wasnt even much of a pothole. Like a mini succession of the swines. More annoyed.
Turbo Goose
Potholes are a joke in Lincolnshire. When they repair them they are supposed to cut around them and fill them in properly, instead you get a spastic with a shovel scooping tarmac straight into the hole. Breaks away in no time.
