Jay85
You sure the ecu isn't of a EP91?? That'll stop it working!!
Sandham
its a 2 plug ep82 ecu or it wouldnt have plugged in..
Gainzy
If you know somebody else with an ep82 would do no harm to try it on theirs, he has sold quite a few ecu's in the past . Wonder why it's not turning over
Mk3 silver gt
Just a thought bud but mk3 gt has a slight different loom than the earlier gt's, thinks its just a couple wires need swapping at the ecu side. I mite be wrong tho, hope you can get it working bud heard good things bout this ecu
Gainzy
In that case find someone local with an earlier model before you look into wires!
micky boy
As i have already said James i tried the ecu on my mates GT and all was fine. I have been done over a few times over the years with ecu's as a few people know on here so im very cautious when it comes to buying and selling ecus.aswell as anything i buy realy I understand your car was off the road so you didnt have chance to try the ecu on your car earlier but with it been sat around for over 4weeks anything could of happened to the ecu for all i know! And yes i know you have said you havent touched it since you got it in the post but i dont know that. Edited January 31, 2014 by micky boy
Sandham
Why has this been placed in the feedback section when i required help to try get it working so i can close the dispute on paypal and get it running on my car! Been looking forward to fit it since new year and its come to being fitted and my car wont fire up just turns over foreverIm not doubting micky but at the end of the day ive been sold an ecu and it wont work... The car turns over and primes the pump just wont fire :/Also im the only person i know of with a gt round leeds/ bradford unless anyone knows someone on here willing to try it? corofin12345
have your anything else plumbed into the ECU loom... ?
Chris Green
I can vouch for mickey boy, bought of him before. I don't think he would try to make a quick buck by flogging a dodgy ECU and damaging his reputation. I hope it gets sorted for you though. Edit: just a thought, if you have a FPR it could now be over fueling. Edited February 2, 2014 by Chris Green

BINGO... that could well be the problem.. these ECU's dont work with aftermarket FPR's well they do but they really over fuel and run like shit and somethimes not run at all.. it may be flooding
SmurfyBhoy
Can also vouch for micky boy. Got ep91 ks rom ecu. Works fine. not had it out on open road yet but started 1st time.

TrisK
Micky has always been a great seller for me when I've had stuff from him too. Does it start fine and the stock Ecu then?Micky has always been a great seller for me when I've had stuff from him too. Does it start fine and the stock Ecu then? Sandham
Theres nothin else ever been wired into the ecu loom and the fpr is set at 2.5 bar?Yes trisk it starts fine and runs well on the stock ecu Edited February 3, 2014 by Sandham
dangeestarlet
Try lowering the fuel pressure or put the standard fpr on
Sandham
I dont have the standard fpr so will drop the pressure on the regulator and give it another go this afternoon
triple j
Put the stock fpr back on, what's year is the gt, as said above there is wires that need changed around if it's not the right model for it, I saw a thread about that somewhere.
Fizturbo
There must be sumone not to far from you to let you test the ecu in ther starbo
Sandham
Its been "tested" on a quaddie..I dont have the stock fpr and i dont know of anyone round me with an ep82
Zeldoz
How about you swap the wires over as mentioned twice already? Surely worth a punt if it's potentially that?
Sandham
Im not prepared to play around with my loom tbh
_shaun_
ive never herd of having to swap the wires around to be honest. am a fair trek away but if you wanted to pay postage id happily try it on mine for you.
TrisK
Im not prepared to play around with my loom tbhSmall contradiction. You said your willing to try anything to get it to work. Then people suggest ideas and you turn them down
Sandham
The wire thing is specific to the hrf ecu designed only for the mk1 gt ive read. Its a PLUG AND PLAY ecu so why would i have to cut my loom? Its been sold to me as tested working on a mk3 quadlight ep82 so unless my car has a one of a kind loom i dont think its going to do nothingl other than risk causing damage to my car! And also in no post on here have i said im willing to try "anything"Whereabouts are you shaun? Bit unsure wether id like to just stick it in the post Edited February 4, 2014 by Sandham
