5e colin
i pasted the cheap link in post 102 mathew you cut 9mm of each side strait of then you cut 4mm extra of the outer shell and do not cut the steel bush in the center so the outer of the bush wont rub of the axel

5e colin
depends how you fit the tops theres 2 ways of doing it on the polo 1s now everythin just bilted right on no cutting on the topmount of the rear then fit the large washer as you do on a starlet shock then 3 small washers ontop of that for the thread

5e colin
you see there pushed out to the outside sides and the metal is rubbing of the axel brackets !!!
Ryan5793
if you cant afford coilovers why not just buy some decent springs? cheap vw coilovers are terrible!
5e colin
stock shocks and lowering springs are way worse in handling then these cheap polos !!!! ride quality is good for on the irish back roads mate much better then stock for sure !! also i didnt have this problem on my previous TA TEcHNICS set ! Glanza-Ben
You need these fitted to stop that They sit inside the bearing/bush to stop the bearing/bush collapsing
5e colin
can you get a close pic of the bottom pic ?? i never seen REAL coils like that only the budget stuff polo/golf also waiting for pics of dangees rear coils going to buy them but still want to resolve this isseu for my fellow member in the future !! Glanza-Ben
I haven't got a better picture as there fitted now but a bar like this threw the bush/bearing is what's needed it stops it collapsing Just measure the center of the bush and find a pole the size needed and cut it to fit the bush and the width of the mounting point Edited November 20, 2014 by Glanza-Ben
littlegreenmonster
Or just a spacer either side so that once done up tight the bust cant come past the spacer or spacers dependant on how many you need ??
5e colin
i found a solution guys as mentioned above with spacers but make it out of 5mm rubber sheet that is if i can find it around here cant use metal washers they will destroy my rear axel brackets
