Beastmode panda Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Yo to all my mid spoiler guys out there. Does anyone else's mid spoiler drip for fucking AGES after they've cleaned their car? It drips cause the foam behind the mid spoiler obviously sucks up the water and drips off for fucking absolute hours!!! Has anyone got a solution? I've tried stuffing clothes up the crack (oioi) but just drips again as soon as you pull out (oioi). ELP MEH. Quote
Gainzy Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Mine doesn't drip but mines got two bolts to hold it on...no foam Quote
Beastmode panda Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 Maybe mine has bolts, I duno, it's been on there from factory but haven't seen any bolts through the tail gate although I've not properly looked. I'll investigate. Anyone else suffer from drippy shit? Quote
Gainzy Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 You will soon see if you take the plastic inner panel off two gold bolts one each side Quote
Dean_mc88 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Drive really fast get some down force to open yea crack (waaay). Or try that spray on polish stuff like demon shine ive found it disperses water rather well from the body, theres two ways to apply it spray it on and wipe off or dilute spray on and its meant to run off while driving, can get demon shine from asda rather cheep stuff for a quick clean and polish solution like. Vincent-ep91 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 yes mine always did. Annoying as fu%k when your trying to wax Quote
Jamie5414 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Small air compressor with air brush on the end Win Quote
garrygt Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 buy a gt.....that should solve your problem ;) Quote
Beastmode panda Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 Yeah I need an air compressor 100%, I know that would sort it out. It's fucking so annoying because you clean the car and wipe it all dry, then drive the car and look at the boot lid and find 2 long ass dirty marks where the road dust has stuck to the water. It's done it for so long now that it's stained 2 lines on my boot lid either side. Comes off with a machine polisher but still, so fucking annoying!!!! Quote
Socks Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Mine does... WHat I do is open the boot slightly.... Maybe 2 foot and it just stays there (just before the gas struts get there leverage....) It all drains out the sides beautifully... Im going to seal the shit out of mine though, when I refit it! Quote
maddox710 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 You can buy small aerosol can of compressed air just use thrm Quote
Amjad Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 You should use a good sealant and keep it sealed/waxed to prevent any water marks Quote
Jay85 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I have no useful tips or tricks, I'm just here as the title made me snigger! Quote
Chops Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I see the problem here. Your doing it wrong, the obvious answer is just to never wash the car in the first place.saves time and drippy spoiler related heartache :L Quote
rinseep82 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Air compressor dude all the way will solve it right away it's good for drying all the little bits of your car Quote
MARC MOSS Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Lick it off rob, just slip your tongue in the cracks . Quote
H_D Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 its just as bad with the wing mirrors, The water gets collected behind the mirror and when you take the car for a drive after a wash and polish it leaves water marks on the doors.I use air in a can to get water out of the little crevices and it works a treat.http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-airduster-200ml-n57jx Quote
H_D Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 £10 for a can of air lol only the best for my V lol. Quote
