scottieboi94
As above, what does everyone think it's better to run, mesh or air filter?
Jamie5414
mesh, and air filter and screwdriver in the boot if it starts to chuck it down
_shaun_
Giant meshed velocity stack.
Gainzy
Filter, don't see why some people enjoy shit mixing in their engines.

akyakapotter
Mines been fine meshed for well over 2years now
daniel_g
Ive ran both but i see everyday the shit that lands in air filter boxes, stones, sand, berries, leaves, bees, cats etc.
theminiguru
I used to run a filter but have recently changed to mesh. as well as boosting a little better it also sounds the nuts with the mesh
Mad Mike EP82
Just get k&n air filter best there is period only takes 1 little stone and your turbo is fucked...
Liam_D
I would love to run a filter but I literally have 1 inch to get a pipe on. So I'm currently running open turbo. Will be getting meshed very soon though.
jayc-glanza17
air filter.. the shit that goes into the engine will wear your rings out faster.
aaddzz123
I ran fuck all for over 2 years with no problems... I'd recommend using at least mesh though. Sivs are good for it
amatthews45
Any one got a video of running just mesh? Curious how that sounds?
akyakapotter
Glanza TD04 Spool & Chatter: http://youtu.be/I03RvPzhdEY
amatthews45
That's really nice that! Love the chatter how long you ran like that for? Mesh sounds like a cool idea to me saves weight and money Wonder what a gt25 would sound like ahah
akyakapotter
Been running it like that well over 2 years now
amatthews45
What's it like living with that noise daily OK? Wasn't really thinking td04 kinda like the garret sound or maybe something same size as gt25
akyakapotter
My car is silly loud around town with the screamer / exhaust / chatter I love it tbh
daniel_g
The induction noise with no filter and just mesh is awesome but a filter is still much better for the car. With a bottom mounted TD04 kit there is hardly any room for a filter so thats why i ran mesh on the old GT. But now with this build ive a bit more room for a filter i hope, picked up a large barrel shaped filter today out a new style Ford Focus lol, should fit in ok
amatthews45
Didn't really pick up on the screamer pipe then tbh Not a fan of screamer pipes not sure why tbh I am trying to get that turbo spool and dump that big power motors do but proofing harder than I thought to pinpoint what makes them do them crazy noises

Djaniero
Wish a meshed setup...wont't the turbo be sucking in warm air from the bay opposed to cooler air with a front mounted filter? Unsure whether to go meshed or filter with my td04??

aaddzz123
I suppose it depends where your turbo is . Presuming it's in the standard place then yes you would be getting colder air if you had a filter behind the grill.
mikey4410
Do not mesh. Filters the way.
