lukEp
Technically It's not a build thread it's an de-building thread. I've bought a 1998 white Starlet SR with 51k. It's not the best but has potential to say the least. This is how I bought it. as you can see it's been ruined!!!! Glove box has had the same treatment. The TTE rear silencer is missing and it's had a scrape right across the front bumper where a blue car has tried to get through a gap it should have. The wheels now need painting as well as they've been rattle canned matt snot green. So plan is to put it back to stock. So far I've removed the sticker wrap stuff, found a TTE rear silencer, bought brand new genuine front mud flaps (looking for rear ones to) and I'm on the hunt for genuine factory sticker set but if not available Morgey has said he can supply a set that are near perfect if not better than stock ones. Only mod will be electric folding mirrors from a glanza as manual mirrors are gash. Pictures so far. And the damageGoal is to look like this this is Turkish91 old SR off here I think. Socks
Well, so far IMO.... your going in the right direction... Keep going on the same path, it wont take long!
morgey
Might have the rear mudflaps off my old bumper still, ill see if i can dig them out and will let you know, i think they might be a set of my stickers on turkish's old car for reference.
lukEp
That would be great Morgey cheers mate and the stickers do look awesome. Socks the only direction is saving at least one of the probably 350 left from a Glanza conversation. Be interesting to know how many are still stock. From what I can gather about 750 out of of the starlet SR were on the road in 1999 and there's only about 300 on the road today with some probably being Glanza registered as the SR. That's from www.howmany left.co.uk
morgey
Yeah you're probably right about some V's being registered as Sr's as it was the only sporty uk model. Then mine and flynns are 4age powered, And god knows how many reps. I do have the mud flaps but one is a bit twisted as its been wedged agaisnt the side of a trailer for a few years with a load of scrap slowly being piled ontop of it, if you're interested i can dig them out and you can have them for £10 posted. If I remember right I met you in 2010 at JAE on the Friday or sat night. You wasn't on the UKSC stand but you popped over to talk starlet. Plus I've been through your thread a few times now. ;)
