Decided that today was the day I was getting the engine back in. I've put my broken but working box on just so I can run the engine in. Manage to get in the bay today. Next week I'll button every thing up. Won't be long till it's first start.

Been ticking jobs off thermostat housing on clutch and flywheel on inlet on. my box is still currently in daves car I have an other with bearing issues that im going to chuck in just to get then engine back in and run in.

Another update, For anyone who has bought the replica glanza headlights. I've discovered you can swap the reflectors from inside your original units into the replica ones by simply unscrewing three screws at the back and transferring them over. Makes them look a lot more oem and probably increases light output with the original halogen bulbs. Also this happened. I'd been debating it for a while and was unsure because of how difficult these bumpers are to come by in original condition nowadays. Anyway I'd already hacked a fair amount off underneath for the front mount

There is yes but it was done for a Paseo so I think it needs some tweaking as one of the mounts is wider I’ve developed a mount kit also as I’ve remade my bush carriers in billet so I may offer them for sale

Might have to go k20 route, apparently there is a drop in kit available for it now?

Didn't get the bits in the end, weather was shite and flooded roads etc. Getting her MOT'd soon. Can anyone confirm if I need Glanza calipers to upgrade the front brakes? Or just the pad carriers?

Sorted out the front coilovers today one was free and the other wouldn't budge for anything so out came the grinder to cut it off replaced both lower mounts and a few of the collars as they were chewed up lick of copper slip to keep them free. Slowly making my way through my list of jobs. Cheers nick.

Hey dude got them from here added the pinch weld blocks aswell. CLICK ME they weren't cheap but well worth the money imo.

Decied it was time i got some proper lifts for the car as the jack and axel stands were doing my head in. Decided on a set of kwik lifts much safer imo. So much easier to get it up in the air now.

It stopped working the next day anyone know what can be causing it to not function again? I have voltage coming to the fan switch

Managed to sort it now put an older type switch in and it worked the fan is now coming on at around 92 degrees is that correct and good for a 5E running 280bhp or would it be better to invest in a low temp thermostat?

Bit light on the pictures and it’s certainly been a while. Got the front bearing out of the rear diff and cleaned it up and painted it. Been doing some of the welding work but I can’t find any photos of that. Big lump of aluminium in the lathe: machined a tool to push the rings into the bores and got those file fitted and labelled up. Need to get the pistons on the rods and start building the engine and finish the welding. Car can go back together then

Has the ac been removed ? If so you need to bridge one of the connectors by the battery. Will stop the fan coming on straight away.

I have this same issue. On my mk3 gt turbo 1994. The fan is always on constantly. Mines is 1) stays running when disconnected and when earthed it stops. is anyone able to confirm if it means I need the old type fan switch sensor or new type by this please?

Screamer is fine as it will be closed for the entire mot only opens on boost 😎

Thanks Nick, Yeah spoke to another lad who has done the same and his went through mot fine. Just hope my tester is okay with the screamer lol
