well glad to say that i payed half that lol, total bargain to be honest. need to do headwork. man its expensive. Phil
-
id sell it for 1200 quid lol need money for this head. Phil

If they guys who have shown an interest in this offer want to get in touch i have decided i will consider letting the engine go at this money. i am wanting to get head work done and can warrant the cost of fixing this now to make an extra 300 or something quid. Cheap forged engine for someone. Machinework/bearings/rods all 100% needs 1 new piston, or a set of pistons. Phil

Thanks for all the input. @AdamB, yes this is exactly may thinking. i cant see any negatives with enlarging the inlet valves, but basically the bottom line is simple for me, everytime i look into cam specs for a 1.3 turbo like ours with its meshed cam gears complication, the stock cams are actually ideal! 5efhe cams maybe, but seriously lairy cams with mental overlap isnt right for a road going turbo engine. SO im thinking bigger exhaust valves, 3angle cut and port:polish with stock cams. @KrissyB yes abbott used the supertech ones from the first link i think. just very expensi

How much are jam racing manifolds worth now days???
Phil replied to l1 jev's topic in Lifestyle General
you'll get your 250/300 for the jam manifold no bother. just wait till a JDM ct9/blitz k1 starlethead appears. wouldnt be for me, but it is what you will get. Phil -

WEll guys ive heard Chris (greece) say that he used supra 7mgte valves. (cut down with new ring machined into them to holdspring/retainer i assume) then the valve seat bored out and a port polish behind that. would these Valves be a good start? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141047673636?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Phil

Lol, though your right foot is definitely an element, suggesting that traction is solely done to your right foot is clearly wrong Phil

Hi lad, I've a forged bottom end going cheap as it needs 1 piston replaced. It's got 74.5mm cp pistons Scat rods Acl bearings Polished crank Engine block It's been running for a couple of years, but I recently changed injectors and burnt a hole in one of the pistons! So it would need one new cp piston to get back up and running. Block and bore are mint the piston went right in the middle so no damage at all anywhere else. Now if I'd the money id et onto cp and order a piston and sell the engine for 1500quid But I don't have the dollar. Acl bearings and thrust washers are 120 Cp piston

ive been in a 400hp starlet that didnt didnt spin in 2nd. and the pull was insane. but i doubt there is many starlets on here even at 300hp that dont light the wheels through 2nd nomatter the weather. so id agree with the guys here as nice as the list is, 90% of the cars close to a 300horse EPs figure (341Glanza?/348GT) are going to be running up the road while the starlet is grappling for grip. Phil

If your using a car for blatting about against mates etc drop the 5e in the GT. If your going to drag/sprint or hillclimb... go big build 4wd. Now for sheer fun if you werent to compare with anything else a 4wd ep is hard beat thats for sure. Phil

4e Connor, cheers for interest though. Cheers man, would be grand, but think Browner already has a 3e flywheel so this likely not a short cut worth taking for him. Bump Perfect lightened flywheel/clutch setup for any 4e weapons out there Phil
