  1. main question mark is if it is a straight fit into the starlet. I already experienced buying a wrong engine with the 5afe and dont want to go through the same hassle again.
  2. looks interesting; an -efe and -zzfe hybrid!
  3. do they take the same mods as stock 4efe/4eftes?
  4. price seems attractive. will keep tabs on it. Def not the 1st time daihatsu used toyota engines. If I'm not mistaken, 1st gen terios used the same engine too
  5. Any of you guys know what this is? He stated it fits starlets, but don't know anything about it. Pls help http://www.maltapark.com/item.aspx?ItemID=2054207
  6. That's cheap. There is a block posted at eur150 here on a local classified site!
  7. there were no pics of the whole car; and the interior is almost identical to an ep70. meanwhile, from same site, same engine in a smaller package. Note battery relocation. Paki mechs are damn good! http://www.pakwheels.com/forums/d-i-y-projects/206360-swapping-5a-fe-charade-86-a-4
  8. did some research on the subject. Came up with this. Not exactly what we are discussing but nonehteless an a-series engine swap where there originally was an e-series. http://www.pakwheels.com/forums/engine-transmission-powertrain/36740-engine-swap-2e-l-5a-fe-finally-done-2
  9. hi; attempted some research and came up with this http://www.pakwheels.com/forums/engine-transmission-powertrain/36740-engine-swap-2e-l-5a-fe-finally-done-2 not exactly my swap, but seeing it was done into a chassis made for the e-series engines, thought nothing would be impossible. your thoughts pls

  11. if only i dont live down here
  12. great bud to hear its on the road again

  14. that's close to purfleet! would have taken it but purse strings are bit tight atm ((
  15. looking for an original leather one and interior upgrade will be complete
  16. Good morning guys what do you think of this as a starting point and adding things as I go? http://www.maltapark.com/item.aspx?ItemID=2962515 Got no hurry
  17. kenwood cd deck called it a day after 10yrs+ of service. So went to a used parts importer and got this. and after having sourced a mint parcel shelf, I dont want to ruin it with holes, so got these odd thing is that they have TWO sets of wires each for some reason.
  18. Got one from a Toyota Cami nosecut. oem P/N 08600-00024. its made by Pioneer, model FH-M8246ZT. At the back there is a slot for a 10pin/6pin connector and another one for a 12pin just to its right.(below is a similar unit) http://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionID=r93618572#enlargeimg all harnesses i found on the 'net were just the 10/6 ones. so what is the 12pin one for?
  19. good morning so you are stating that you can safely stick a stock turbo and all stuff from a 4efte straight to a 4efe? thanks
  20. Sideskirts oem?
  21. well; considering taking that route. Start off with a 4efe and sticking turbo stuff later on. Down here they rip you off for a 4efte engine! what boost/bhp can the stock ct9 setup take? I'm for a daily
  22. as many already said above, i swap the engine from the gt into the na. To stick a turbo onto an na you need to change pistons and conrods to forged ones; which wont be kind on your wallet, especially when you have a good engine and all stuff already available. swap is simpler route
  23. need to change pistons and conrods to forged ones. and that alone already costs ££££ or (€€€€, depending where you live! haha)
