  1. No will be my track car after the trip too. Want something more road friendly as well as capable on a track.
  2. Don't really want to 'make do want it to be a car I want ideally
  3. 5.4 V8 would kill me lol! and probably not even handle well. Im pretty sold on a dc2 atm
  4. Fair comments. But yeh k for the longer journeys and the extra gear. Would have no issue with a standard b. The only car not to give me a bad back on long journeys is my missus seat altea. 100 don't want to do it in that haha
  5. I'm have considered barges but then may aswell do it in the daily a4 avant 3.0tdi. Be better on fuel and just as quick. Want something that can have some fun on the 'twisties'. In terms of sound deadening etc that doesn't really bother me. Just a 1.0 3 cylinder isn't the best for a 2750 mile trip
  6. Be interested to know what a DC2 is like cruising at 100mph or so, imagine a DC5 isnt too bad
  7. not a ek9, don't like that shape! EG or earlier for civics imo
  8. Not bad shouts on the DCs . Whatever it is will likely replace the charade, a dc2 would be perfect for tracking after the trip. May look out for a k20 one
  9. Id be happy with anything around 20mpg lol. Its a 2750 mile trip
  10. Have a road trip coming up next year and not sure what car I want to do it in.. My current cars are out the question..charade just too uncomfortable, the daily quick and comfortable but a diesel Thinking of spending between 5-8k and one car will have to go! I want something fast, good fun, reliable and not too mental on fuel ideally reasonably modern. So far considered STI,Evos in price range, 350z,S200
  11. Used to be able to get a Japspeed from anywhere between 99p to £200 on ebay. Definitely better off getting a whole exhaust system. I had just a backbox on my when i got it, snapped the standard exhaust in two eventually
  12. Problem with people today is they all think too much. Over think what the government do etc. Over think stupid stuff to find offence, Over think bloody gender for god sake. Just get on with life, stop overthinking and be happy.
  13. By the time you swap the washer you may aswell drop all the oil
  14. I always had to put in over 2 litres on mine, closer to 2,5
  15. Get a 4efe cheap as chips and boost it. Build a spare up slowly
  16. Do it yourself mate, loads of information around for rebuilding these and nothing is really that tricky. just patience and accuracy
  17. Is that not because it's only on here and gumtree
  18. What For? Day to day, fast road, track etc?
  19. That's what I'm saying.id pay 500 for a engine with compression results etc. No something sat in a garage for a few years not running. You could do a leak down test but most won't have the facilities to do that
  20. I'd say 500 fair for a engine with some history. Compression results and videos running.
