Ive got the correct tool to pressurise the cylinder with a compressor. Gonna do mine this weekend all being well with the head on so may try and do a tutorial. -

Thanks bud! Haha this is giving me enough grief let alone doing another! aswell as that i spent yesterday fitting a hybrid and an FMIC to a mates so wasn't really in the mood to work on mine today. Got abit done however, got the majority of the sound deadening off the firewall, and started drilling some holes for the fuel feed/return AN- lines to go through. Relative success bar a small patch of discoloured paint in the bay as it got rather hot. Went to do some more on the power steering and toyota the bastards have made one of the unions in the stupidest sizes ever (m17) which i can't -
Yes like you say it does need to be kept clean, brush it out after each pass. Unbelivably the Megs cutting compound and their micro fibre cutting pads leave next to no marks on there. Always refine afterwards with foam and some ultrafina tho.
-
That was in relation to TimD's post about making his own rather than buying em, not what plastics4performance offer.
-
Hit it with a Rupes Bigfoot lol - that'll cut it with a micro fibre pad
-
Has been done and is on tgtt. Like mentioned.. To heavy - to much weight Over the front end.. Won't turn in for sh*t and will be understeery' as hell
-
Was gonna say a Rupes bigfoot too . DAS 6 Pro isn't a bad machine! http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/cat_81.html

Okay well at least that shows some of your settings / your Boost controller / solenoid is the issue then.
-
I thought you wanted it to run .8 bar spring pressure lol? If you want your Boost controller fitted right and you have a profec you want the COM port to go to the top of the wastage and the NC port t-pieced into the vac line that runs from the turbo housing to the side port on the waste gate
-
Told ya - happy days
-
What grade/mm lexan did you use? I was struggling to find anywhere that supplied decent stuff..
-
Okay just the port on the side then and it'll be fine.
-
Let me know how you get on EDIT - also what tial gate is it a F38 or MV-S gate? As there is a port on the side at the top of the MV-S that isn't the one you want to use. You need to use the lower port near the bottom.
-
Brilliant advice Leave the top port open and run the vac line from the side port on the waste gate, to a boost source ideally your turbo compressor housing. That will then run it off spring pressure. You only use the top port aswell when running with an EBC so don't use it for the moment to rule that out.
-
Have you pulled it all off and checked no springs have popped out? Sounds like symptoms of that which i have experienced before.
-
Go for some Fuchs Titan Race gear oil from Opie. Thats sorted many clunking diffs that haven't been totally run in properly
-
Yup, get the PTFE ones with the right line from torques.
