  1. ^ yea just checked. wasnt expecting that. good result none the less.
  2. Cracking figure then, people struggle to make that on 16g's lol. Yea the rear housing outlet is only about 2" on them, so most people usually build a downpipe to that. when you get one tapering to 3" itll be miles better.
  3. what boost did it make 309 at? that on a td05-14b is a pretty decent figure!
  4. I'm sure the graphs about but after knowing Dave he would of already posted them if he wanted to. It was a myth and a legend and I think he'd probably prefer it to stay that way.
  5. No it's not going to work without a wastegate. Whoever sold it to you clearly never had that on a car. Otherwise you'll be running effectively unlimited boost - goodbye engine. Either get a turbo with an internal wastegate and actuator setup, or modify the manifold to take an external gate. Tbh the turbo all looks at the wrong angle anyways and as tho the down pipe would be fouling on the block. Personally I'd try and get your money back as in that form its clearly not going to work.
  6. He didnt run nitrous on it. Like said, me and my bro were round his constantly when this was happening as both cars were basically being done at the same time, matt was going to map them both on the same ecu etc. Daves wasnt on race fuel, it did however have an additive. One of the guys who worked at AFR had a special mix they used in the cars. I never found out exactly what it was, but it wasnt pure racefuel. something they added into v-power. Oh and if anyone wants to know it was a cruise manifold and an OBX red series td06 turbo .. lol.
  7. Austec was the TVR company next door I believe. But it was indeed Matt Hosier @ AFR who mapped it. It was a TD06 of some description on an FCON V-Pro, 5e, his inlet, 288 cams. It was a very similar spec to what he built my brothers too as he did it at roughly the same time.
  8. go onto toyodiy. youll find it on there
  9. or just use the GT loom and splice it as not alot need to be changed. There is an engine wiring diagram on google of an '82. use that for reference.
  10. What AFR gauge you using? if its not changing atal whatever you do could be the sensor for that. also, checked your still on standard injectors if its so rich?
  11. Oh someone put a rotrex 3094 or something on an n/a lump. would be legend.
  12. you dont technically have to drain the whole oil and coolant system, a little oil will dribble out the return when you take it off. Just be careful with the oil feed. they are prone to getting damaged easily and then leaking.
  13. Ah yea looked different from the other photo. Good stuff.
  14. Id be tempted to move that oil cooler if thats the clearance on the wastegate. epic work tho gee!
  15. what sensors exactly? and its it the mk1 or mk2 loom?
  16. Go in a charged one with 330bhp on standard internals and you wont be saying that! Madness in a celica, be retardedly fast in a starlet.
  17. I'm after an un hacked engine loom also if the other guy doesn't take it
  18. what bits are chopped off? i dont need the lot of it to be intact only parts. Injectors dont matter if plugs have been changed. Essentially is the distributor, coil , igniter, knock sensor stuff intact?
  19. Thats the way i did it the first time and i thought it was abit of a pain seeing as you have to rip the whole car apart to change them all, aswell as when i did it sourcing them all was abit of a mission aswell. Looking at the diagrams, i think splicing all in all would be quicker and easier. Thats the way im going to do it next time..
  20. Do you have an engine loom that isnt chopped to hell?
  21. had this thread going for a while. may be worth a look for you -> http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/10013-14-mile-times-and-top-10-leader-board/
  22. Might be worth resetting the ECU also now the FCD is off....
