  1. thats alot of cash. i wouldnt bother with the bb td04. considering you can pick those turbos up so cheap its just not worth spending that much on one. You could just get a bb VF turbo of similar size. Midland turbo have a good rep and liam sorted out my ct9 hybrid which i sent to him in a box of bits and its still gonig strong about 5 years later.
  2. thats the best bit. ive always loved a build thread even if its just general maintenance ect.
  3. i still check the forum quite regulary.
  4. Ive looked through some old paperwork and i managed to find the little green slip the DVLA issued the new reg onto! Looks like its tax ran out 1st Jan 2012! and mot ran out 2nd May 2014
  5. I searched through my old emails and i mesaaged the guy selling it when it was listed. heres a few screen shots. At some point it put a rod through the block and this guy built another engine for it. This was the seller
  6. This was my old toms kitted evo td05h, 6 speed starlet from back in the day. After i sold the car about 13 years ago i know it changed hands a few times and was on ebay at some point and im sure some parts came off it like the toms from bumper. It also apeared on a tv program which i think was about teenage pregnancies (lol) in a dodgy area at one point. When i sold the car i kept the private plate L13 GTT but it was reissued with a px53 year plate as that was the year it was imported for some reason. But i have no pics of the end of the registration and i cant remember the rest of i
  7. good effort mate. nice to see youve got a filter on the gun also. Have you got a little regulator on the gun? you might find that helps. I know you have one on the compressor but one on the gun allows you to fine tune what your actually getting at the gun.
  8. Keep up the good work mate. First time I've seen that hybrid of yours, thats a big CT turbo haha! I've an old tongs on mine Liam rebuilt for me with an uprated bearing but I always wanted to get hold of a td12 to try at some point. Nice brake upgrade too, I had heard of these been fitted years ago but never actually saw a set fitted. I've a spare set of those in the garage from when I rebuilt my GT4. I can remember OKY from back in the day nice to see its going strong and well looked after.
  9. nice build it should be a cool setup this when its up and running. Much better building the 5e it should drive really nice with that turbo.
  10. No updates on here as i sickened my self fighting on with a yaris engine swap before xmas. Did all the work then the engine turned out to have a massivly gone head gasket so sulked about that for a while instead. I local guy i know did some repairs on the manifold for me and a also welded a bit of pipe onto the turbo compressor housing for me. It took him a while to get round it getting them done but hes done a great job. only got comp housing pics for now. Turbo housing welded by Bean Beano, on Flickr
  11. ive a mint condition rebuilt vf35 available if your interested in one of those. it was a great setup on my 5e.
  12. I received a few more parts in the post Turbo oil feed parts, it came with a non weld sump return fitting but i wont use that as i already have a weld in fitting i will use i just need to buy the right size braided line and a couple of fittings. Boost updates by Bean Beano, on Flickr Flange changed on the decat, hopefully i didnt warp it. Boost updates by Bean Beano, on Flickr I got the oil switch removed and fitted the new adapter piece in its place then connected everything up. A nice shiny Hamp next to it. 13. To be honest i dont play them much, but i do like them and they are going up in value too. You used to be able to pick machines up pretty cheap but i think they are more popular now the whole retro thing has got quite a following. When ive got an empty house i like to fire them all up have a few cans and have a few goes, you cant beat the old sounds they make and when they start getting a bit warm the smell of old CRT monitors, awesome! I think the Evo 9 is the turbo to have but theres so many options now you can just buy the billet wheels and the compressor housings to match them. I
  14. Nice updates. Ive not heard of those pumps before but sounds a good alternative to the usual walbro unit.
  15. Just for Callum122 Its a Williams Big Guns machine. Ive played it for hours and hours now its really good fun. ive never really been into pinball as there was never any round my way. I play on them a bit when i go to the retro gaming arcade events and stuff i go to but i never thought i would own one as they are alot more expensive than you think. Especially compared to the arcade machine prices. Big guns by Bean Beano, on Flickr Big guns by Bean Beano, on Flickr Ive actually machine polished that play field, it really brought the colours out. Ive polished all the chrome to
  16. Had a guy round tonight i sort of know he works at a local welding place that does NDT and stuff. He says the turbo mani repair and welding a bit of pipe onto the compressor housing is no bother and ive showed him how i want my intercooler so i might need some custom tanks making up for it and pipe work sorted for it. Hes also got a CNC lathe so said he could make me a nice piece up for the turbo housing. I will probably make the piping up my self do all the cuts ect and just tape it all together then get him to tack it all then test fit and get him to fully weld it up. Im not confident enough
  17. Ive been mega slacking on this again! After getting it back from the arches been done i just couldnt be arsed really. I got into a pinball machine restoration i picked up and really enjoyed doing that. Anyway jumped back onto the teg last week. This arrived Parts by Bean Beano, on Flickr which contained a few goodies Boost by Bean Beano, on Flickr I bought a mint Evo 8 turbo years ago which only had running in miles on it i have had stashed away. The turbo elbow is new as is the downpipe Boost by Bean Beano, on Flickr Thats the stock Evo turbo elbow vs the

get some pics up and keep us updated.
  19. Good to know there is other options out there.
  20. Still dailying this with no issues other than my exhaust rear hander i made a few years ago cracked and fell off while the car was parked up which was weird, so i welded that up and that was that sorted. Over a good while my drivers window was getting worse and worse, some times it only seemed to work on warm days, other times the door card needed a tap to get it moving. then it started not driving the wondow back up at all. Luckily i have quite a few spairs including 2 complete gt doors. So i stripped one of these down and then the same to the one in the car. 20190825_175951 by
  21. Looks a nice one this, which is rare these days i think. keep us updated on the build. i do miss my oldGT with the Toms kit on now.
  22. maybe check youtube for old footage of it.
  23. You can port the stock one out quite a bit which helps. The JAM manifolds are good but you have to remember they are a 20 year old manifold now.
  24. i dont know where the pics are now. just cracks in the colelctor mine was. They are repairable but its alot of work and expensive if you cant do it your self as its time consuming to do it right. You shouldnt just blast these with mig as the repair wont last and proobably crack further. Best thing you can do for a ct9 setup is a wepr power up kit with external wastegate.
