Last spring I asked Olli "Whitestar" if he wants to sell me his old TTE wheels from his Glanza, time wasn't right. Drooled those many years in the Helsinki when I was garbage man, casually saw his car parked on street. Day came and I met him at American car show, where his beatiful car was standing Here was the wheels, sorry Olli I tooked screenshot Then the day came and Olli asked if I would like to buy those wheels, of course. I missed one wheels once and very rarely seen thise in Finland. Always liked those 90's wheels, don't know why, most of people maybe thinks that those are ugly or

MR-2 replied to Ep91sleep's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Would You consider to send decat pipe somehow to Finland? -
Few mobile phone photos with cleaned car. Sorry about pictures, who wants to see just regular Starlet pictures when world is full of Glanzas etc
-
Then winter waxing, washed underbody and engine room also. Still n/a and horrible color, this is my daily now, no hurry, about 140 000 km driven. Started to make new floor, wanna raise it little bit, so can put stereo and tool systems better under lids. Drilled few holes and used few factory holes to bolt rods lightly. This only evo1, plans can be changed.

Planning to change my SW20 MR2 seats from my EP70 to EP91, because I'm going to put this car under work. Too new seats for this car I bought these AW11 MR2 to my EP70, more 80's look. Almost like new ones, 100 both seats.

Then I bougt "Whitestars" Olli's old jdm tail lights bottoms and he keeped his lenses. Plan was to do some bigger driving lights. Cutted walls litle bit so light can glow bigger area. Ready for painting. Old with half tinting film vs new bottoms. Modded lights. Not big difference, but maybe somebody will notice Frozen one. I used to have full tinting, but like this half tinting more.

Then was time to go 2din radio. Only have to bend oem brackets 90 degrees. Also cutted IS200 centerconsole part to get cupholder. Just layin there, no screws. Idiot place for that, but better than nothing.

I continue my regular n/a story... Winter came to Finland and it means that I have to work more and less car building :/ So wintertyres have to use and I'm using my old gunmetall painted 14" Mille Miglias from 90's. Added some used Bosch Rallye 225 highbeams for this darkness. Extra bracket under registerplate and one extra support bar in the middle, so bumber didn't shake so much. And on top also, had to do bended support bars because of mask and hood. City fwd rally car :/ Poor Paseo, haven't done anything to her, 5E-FE still inside, waiting for 4E-FE

Maybe 15 years ago I putsedan Corolla AE82 normal 4A-F hubs to my EP70 Starlet, driveshaft outer joints stubs were too small and I found that Corolla shafts were too long. So I tooked outer joints away from shafts and tryed those to Starlet shafts. Perfect fit, inside bore was same as Starlet, problem solved, don't know AE82 GT joints...

4E-FE n/a exhaust manifold to turbo manifold?
MR-2 replied to MR-2's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Nothing to loose, exept one old engine, thanks Colin for support. Manifold can't be worst than cast one -
Have anybody ever tested to make n/a steel exhaust manifold to a turbo manifold by changin the flange. We all know that cast iron turbo manifold is shit, specially third port. Can that thinner manifold hold hot gases enough. Thinkin to do some low budget turbo swap, I have all turbo parts from GT and few basic turbos CT12 from Starlet or Corolla2 and CT12 from Supra. Engine going to be n/a pistons, only outer parts like intake manifold gona be swapped, thermostat housing, modded oil pan, injectors, ECU, Map, etc... I might wanna test "blow" one basic n/a 4E-FE engine, hopefully not, just for

Wou, she came beauty. Respect for original color, same as mine and going to keep it, boring but safe choice Did You painted engine room also? How is that boot cable opening system originally, in body or back lid? I was thinking to put other newer Starlet cablesystem, because can't get oem system in my country easily.

Arms or ball joints arms are maybe not same length then, wheel hubs coming outer. Maybe You have Corolla arms or something, can't figure anything else. Have You taken measurements or pictutures side by side?
-
Knock knock, maybe it is santaclaus came to your door too early, baddest choise :/ Or one valve fail is possible, locking nails popped out or snapped valve...
-
4E-FE engine, but exactly same sound as in Your video. Pushed zero dergees area, sound stopped
-
Never have this problem, suddenly tapping noise started and I was sure that my oilpump blewed, sound came belt area. Found that my lower plastic cover somehow was touching cranck alternator wheel or oilpump wheel. Pushed cover 1mm inside and sound was gone. After that some hot air blower and bended it inside little bit...
-
Did You changed lower balls also, wrong parts maybe? Still having old arms to compare?

Is the EP91 NA rear axle same as on Glanza?
MR-2 replied to whitestar's topic in Chassis & Suspension
My EP82 GT (cutted) vs n/a EP91, drums and disks can be used in both stubs. I'm fitting EP91 axle to EP70 and old axle gona have these cutted stubs with some cambersystem... -
Looking good, happy to see at somebodys projects goin forward
-
16v turbo engine coming some day. Haven't updated my project lately for months, fucking early winter came and darkness to do anything in parkingslot :/
-
You can have lot of sponsors with that color. Some day have to buy diesel Starlet, much rarer tuning shell
-
Wow, clean engine. Holy shit, 9" wheels to rear, gona fit like clove with widener arches, what tyres You gona put?
-
Nice Fanta or Jägermeister color Cood choice for first car...
