My car keeps throwing engine light on and has done for a while but as it was running a piggyback i didnt worry about it anyway its back stock and still throws it up every time i go out did a diagnostics check and throw signal codes 25 and 52 25 is what is described as the "lean signal" so between 1200-6000rpm its running lean but lambda isnt plugged in so im hoping as soon as i plug that in that will solve that one 52 is knock sensor - is this just replacing the knock sensor itself or can it ba anything else ? Trying to get the car in a sellable condition so solving all the little niggles

Not for the 4efe allthough you could have one made for decent money ~300 is reasonable or use an ebay 5efe jobby (before anyone says ~300 is expensive thats what i meen about N/A tunning be expensive for the gain, plus 300 is cheap compared to good make N/A manifolds ie Toda, Spoon etc)
-
Everyones entitled to an opinion Im with you there alot arent aware and know very little, however i dont bileave 133bhp on a 4efe with basic mods, very inacurate dyno or tapped brakes on run down ? doing this made my mates 106 rallye make close to 145bhp on pretty much stock engine, maybe with cams/headwork and big revs etc it would make close but still doubtful Look at JAMs 5efe which only made 150bhpish and that had a loooooooong spec list and they do know what im doing. ive not tuned a 4efe however i have driven one and tbh they drive horribly compared to other N/As such as the awsome 4age

Never trust or try to understand anything that can bleed for 5 days and doesnt die !!!!

Sorry im garbage at explaining things haha What i meant about wastegate is the exhaust housing is alot bigger due to the fact its got internal gate there and even if its welded up the exhaust housing is massive Just my peronall opinion I was going to have top mounted but decided to hid my ugly turbo haha. Looks good though pal, however the more important thing is power, best make big power 1.5 bar on stock internals (like me) or 2bar+ if forged

Throw a exhaust mani, corolla inlet, cat back, de-cat, decent filter on and call it a day before you throw and more money into something your going to regret doing once youve felt a turbo build boost
-
Thinner gasket High comp pistons mega headwork cams etc etc and be lucky to get anywhere neer 150, i meen look at Jams 5efe N/A starlet, keep up with a stock RX7 yes however a 4efte with basic mods would do same for alot less money and more economicly
-
Abit pointless IMO Exhaust, filter, inlet mani, exhaust mani and an emanage may get you 100-105hp ish ? 5efe with above mods maybe 110-115hp if your lucky and it will still be slow 4age (silvertop = expensive and awkward swap) 4age (blacktop = as above but 50% more of both) then you have the option of ITBs or bike carbs etc however expensive and will never be "fast" only ever nippy for a 1.3 IMPO a 4efte would be cheaper, more powerful, less work and have cheaper daily running costs as turbos are better on fuel when not driven hard. If you do want to tune n/a be prepared to pay alot of money
-
Just remember length of runnrs isnt going to make it laggy etc, scoobies manies have 2'+ Runners mani looks pretty cool but impo turbos with an internal gate dont look good top mounted :/
-
The drivers steering wheel only though so i assume the passenger steering wheel is okay then ? may be worth checking just in case.

For me .... Sell starlet Ek4 civic GT30 ish turbo etc ... etc

Fits fine and nicer to drive round town with shorter ratios I have 4efe box on my glanza, did loose around 15mph top speed (limiter in 5th on fte box was 160 indicated speed, limiter in fe box 147ish inditated speed) And managed to shave .4 seconds off 1/4 miles time with it also not overly strong, well it didnt like 270bhp anyway haha, but it was whining when i bought it
-
Was thinking of the Sri Turbos, my bad Still overweight and not brilliant power lol
-
Corsa VXR with a regal map, courtney downpipe and remus exhaust on track (donnington) against my starlet which was at the time ct9, fmic, 0.9 bar, tein springs, i started 2 cars behind him, 20 min track session later i finished 3/4 cars behind him (i forget) however i passed him, thats right, nearly caught him back up There just way to heavy (1250KG without a driver) and only 160hp stock Can be quick but would cost alot to make them "fast" impo ofcourse
-
Swap to LHD makes sense in a track starlet as driver and engine on right hand side meens weight distribution would be less then perfect driver on left side with gearbox and heavyer engine on right side helps with weight distribution Any engine bay pics ??

21 Year old, now 3 years no claims however have been insured sunce i was 18 NFU Mutual is my insurer £980 for year TPFT all mods declared at estimated power 250BHP However back to stock power now (which reminds me, need to tell them) When i was 18 with 0NCB it was only 1150 which i dont htink was bad but just proves its not going down by much
