Welcome. Tidy looking glanza.

Forged daily build from 55kw to 200kw+ (2023-01 updated)

Great thread. Whats the plans. -
Thanks. I don't have much about the sump difference wrote down just that there's a difference. Because of the age of the vehicles now alot will have been swapped around. A very early mk2 could possibly have the MK1 engine. Especially as this 1 is the original engine.

This is my first time on the owners forum, and I must admit I'm quite enjoying it. My line of work is demanding and stressful and very time consuming. So it's nice to be able to escape and come and see how you guys are getting on with your projects. These sites used to fill me with dread a few years ago when they were full of angry people. They do seem better recently. What year is the gt? It has a silver cambelt cover, I've been told this engine has the thicker rods MK1. There's some thing I have listed about the sump difference.

Nice project there. Yeh I had a jdm185 wide boy gt4. I sold it after it got stuck in the snow. I do regret selling it on now.

Freebies can't beat them. Looking smart. You have a clean glanza there.

Zem's N/A To 4EFE-T Mission - RESPECT THE REJECT

Love the pic. Get stuck in, I'm loving the cd turbo and the starlet community. Mighty little things. What model do you have there. -
I thought I saw a mig torch head but yet I could see zero splatter on the weilds. I think this aprouch to making bends is alot better than using a pipe bender unless you use a mandrill or sand it's hard to bend tubing with out messing it right up. Keep up the good work. Ideas in action. I'm after a good tig weilder. If any 1 can recommend one.

Thank you so much. I'm writing all this down to add to the information I have here. Because of the crazy off the line acceleration I'm getting lift off oversteer and the fact of these diff units unlocking as soon as I lift off makes for some interesting handling especially while cornering. Very interesting. I've never quite felt anything like it. The brake bias valve helps sit the arse end down but the front end understeer that the lsd produces I'm unsure what can be done about it other than changing it.

Definitely very impressed with it. Close ratio sports box and the strongest c series 6speed I've come across. I have a c161 here I think it is off the g6 corrola. This is slightly longer than the ae111 Levin box so I'd say that's the 2nd strongest. Thanks for that information on the lsd units do you have make and models if possible, these units I have here are a bit agresive for the road plus the thick oil required for there operation does not really suite the high rpm gearbox bearings. I'm hoping to use the VW dsg oil.

When I was speaking with them, there map has been developed over many years and finally tuned to the vehicle. Alot of experience and expertise. Plus k&n filters are the best part of £100. Plus a Dyno printout. I'm impressed with this price.

Haha. Great work. Keep the progress coming.

Morning dutchie Yeh its nearly ready I've had a crown gear made to fit the lotus box and the bolt pattern on the diff unit from the GT and glanza box. I've also had the gears ceramic bead polished\hardened and I'm waiting on a carbon syncro set to arrive. Plus new bearings seals and spacers. I've had to swap the bellhousing and bearings over. The box is longer than all other 6speed units because of the even wider gears inside. This leads to the box not quite fitting in the engine bay. it all bolts in place mount wise but end cap is around 1inch longer requiring sl

Are you mig weilding these Neat as always. I need to get a move on weilding my intake system together. I was going to get a pipe bender but I see there's another way.
-
Sounds like a plan and get a build up as soon as you can your build sounds very exciting to me with real thought and planning. There's not many on here with this aprouch to street tuning. Check out Brad's MK1 GT it's a real street/track animal design. This thing will destroy most 300hp starlets around the street and track.

I'm running the zisco narrow diameter exhaust manifold externally gated with equal length runners because of turbo choice and hyb design this manifold is neat and compact also promotes high gas speeds to spool the turbo.
-
Your right the plenium size is there as a reserve of air mainly at wot (wide open throttle) to stop the sufercation of the cylinders. this can be a result of the intercooler piping diameter length and intercooler core volumes. And yes a big difference in pressures mainly vacume at low rpm or Cruz high load, and things like a large single throttle plate which is hard to meter exactly using your foot generally will result in gas stall as the pressures sharply equalise. For examples of this look at the size difference of high hp manifold plenium chambers and intercooler piping. Also there was a v

Its was the turbo manifold that produced these figures not the 5e. The 4efe and 5efe did show an imbalance in power balance but a marked improvement on the 4efte unit but again the plenium size was impacting topend hp abilities. Also when boosting the corrola and 4efe starlet and paseo 5e manifolds you will see increases in cylinder temps as you try and push past its flow peak potential which has been estimated around the 270hp mark. The 4efte is around the 300hp mark. The twin plate throttle is like combining the gen 1 4efe gi and ee\ae corolla. The difference in these setups is due to

Thanks for this information. Im going to start to look into front and rear brake options very soon. Now my acceleration times are getting very good.

Cylinder balance testing. Basically cutting off 1 cylinder at a time and measuring the loss in engine proformance or crank rotational speed. Along with other tests regarding volumetric efficiency of the cylinder. Dyno graphs on the same engine using many many different setups foucing mainly on the torque curve. Will tell you alot about inlet, exhaust, cam configuration. Reference to the 4efe units running the Corolla inlet against the 4efe running the 4efte in!et Both hp figures are around 85 to 90hp but the 4efte inlet torque curves are very different and there figures tell

Great price. I had a good chat with one of them the other week. Really helpful and gave me lots of useful tips. Others have recommended them off different Toyota site's.
-
The Dyno result, great figures. You mention TD in a previous post ??. Is this tunning development. I see TD quoted alot related with Toyota owners. How much did you pay for mapping?. I've spoken with tuning development on the phone very helpful and knowledgeable on these.
-
As said some really good figures there. Ho are td. And how much did you pay please if possible.

I'm after a tdo4l 13t anti surge compressor housing. I'm struggling to find 1 on line. If anyone can help me.
