  1. Trying both is the best way to find out, even if it is a pain in the arse. What shock absorbers will you be using? Just for the sake of choosing a "better" name, I'd say go with the Eibach ones.
  2. Caldina's are wicked, get one!
  3. It was posted 2 days ago.
  4. I know how you feel, giving up with it, getting bored, etc... A couple of months ago it seemed like I wouldn't get anywhere with the CRX and almost considered selling it and getting a 125cc bike, that's how desperate I was lol, now I'm so close to getting it on the road it nearly seems worth the wait. D2's aren't exactly great tbh. The bad handling could be down to something simple like worn bushes. If the bushes are worn then it wont matter how much adjustment and faffing around you do. For me it would all be down to money, what your current spec list is, and what you can afford. A RWD drift machine sounds fun but then you've got the running costs and everything, Starlets are very cheap to run even if you do need to spend a bit of money on parts to make it a decent car.
  5. Wont have any pics of the car until it's on the road - it's stuck in the garage at the minute covered in dust lol. As soon as I sell the Starlet it's going back on the road after being locked away for 7 months. I really can't wait to t-cut and polish it after giving my sister's Starlet a good go over and seeing how good red looks when it's shiney. Since my last post: - I have ALMOST got the stupid sun roof working. - Ordered a Nardi 350mm steering wheel seeing as the OMP dished wheel I ordered back in january still hasn't turned up. £60 out of pocket I think. - Ordered some red wheel nuts from 12tune. - Swapped all the tyres over so I've now got Toyo Proxes T1R all round (2x part worn/2x brand new). - Fitted the headunit and wired up my sub & amp. Sounds great, it's nice to have a decent system for once. These are the wheel nuts I've bought, nothing special but much better than the shit that was on there, usually I wouldn't buy "bling" shit like this but I really do need new ones: http://shop.12tune.com/browse-by-car-brand...t-fittings.html And this is the steering wheel I've bought (2nd hand), should do the job until I sort out what's happening with the OMP wheel:
  6. I'd go with the TD12, watch Enzo's videos on youtube.
  7. Yeah I recognise the name, was he the dude who was selling the Ronal Turbos?
  8. As much as I love Starlets, and HATE these new Fords, there is some "tunnel vision" going on here. It's clear that a Starlet with some money spent on it could go quicker than a Focus in a straight line for a fraction of the price. And even though it's a Ford, and it weighs almost one and half tonnes, and is a pile of shit, you can't say it's a slow car.
  9. The Datsun is quite cool, kind of similar to the KGC10 Skyline.
  10. I will probably start going to TOA meets once I start driving the CRX.
  11. Lol I always notice certain people's names and wonder if anyone notices mine. I am on here pretty much every day though.
  12. I've only just realised I've been a member here for 2 and a half years. In that time I've bought my first Starlet, passed my driving test, bought the CRX, bought another Starlet (which I'm now selling), and it doesn't seem like 5 minutes since I first joined up back in 2008 not long after buying my first EP91. Didn't realise how fast it has gone!
  13. It's pretty quiet round this way mate, I'm just down the road in Kidderminster and only know a few people with Starlets. A meet would be good, I don't drive a Starlet anymore though, will have my CRX on the road soon but still up for a meet if there's any local ones. The most I've ever seen of a "meet" round our sort of way is up Merry Hill.
  14. I do like the odd night out every now and then but I'm not a very good drinker, can't even stand the smell of beer/lager/cider so I have to stick to the vodka & redbull's. ;)

    Ohh You Didnt!

"Scarlet" makes me want to rip people's fucking heads off. Pricks. And when people start saying things like "It's not a Starlet, it's a Glanza". SAME FUCKING CAR!
  17. It would be shit in a Starlet, bike engines lack torque, fine for a lightweight kit car but no good in a full size car.
  18. Same here lol, I think they've tried going for the MR2 look.
  19. Used Autoglym Super Resin Polish for the first time today, quite happy with it seeing as I got two decent size bottles for £15. (Halfords buy one get one free).
  20. Oh shit yeah, I meant slam panel lol!
  21. Some really nice Starlets there. And well done for getting that sort of power from a CT9/standard engine. Any head work done?
  22. Did Rob have his exhaust manifold on for this? I'd have thought he would have got more power than that, unless he hasn't fitted it yet?
  23. It's pissing me off it's the only thing that needs doing on the Starlet before it can go up for sale. The longer it takes me to sell it the longer it takes before I can put the CRX on the road. Tried loads of car part websites and having no luck!
