  1. I modified my old glanza upto 170bhp without ever remapping it... i did however get a rrfpr and checked it was fuelling ok on a rolling road. these little cars and there ecu are very manageable if pushed in the right direction ;) also all boost controllers are universal but you would have to hard wire it onto the correct wires.
  2. No forgot to take any of the finished article, but will try and grab some soon I wish they where SSR mesh's haha. They are Axis OG's... current day equivalent of the SSR http://www.axiswheels.com/view-wheel/ogsan Pretty dam fine wheels all the same, but not a low enough offset for me so sold them on ;)
  3. must have cost a bomb! I remember sicaln trying to source one, got one direct from Japan in the end but cost a fair old penny
  4. arches are now rolled, all went well apart from a slight paint crack on the passenger side front arch but i'm not fussed as i'm getting body work sorted soon. now i can roll around on the bad boy xxr's with no scrubbing! pics are shit as i only had my phone but cant say it was particularly interesting anyway:lol:

  6. actually i'l have a Wakaba one for my mx5 payment on the way...
  7. I have a turbozilla one already in my Subaru, looks fooking stylie in there and smells allright too haha. dont think it will last quite as long as normal tree one but mine is still going strong and its been a while now
  8. there is a full kit going on mx5nutz for £1300 ish i think, thats everything from mani and turbo, down to the flying miata piggy back. that will produce an easy 250+ bhp parts arnt that expensive tbh... i have bought soo many parts and modified my 5 a fair bit now but am still well under 1k money wise.
  9. The stock mx5 engine (1.6) is practically a turbo version yes. As Amjad said BBR used the exact same egine but produce a factory turbo set up for the mx5, so they all use the same engine. the difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 is miniscule, there power output and 0-60 times are the same but the 1.8 has a slightly bigger top end and greater power from a turbo charged application (same a 4efte and 5efte type thing) personally i prefer the 1.6 as its more eager to rev and there is a greater part market out there compared to the 1.8, still there both very good. very very reliable, i'm bombing r
  10. mk1 mr2? mk2 mr2? mx5?... all sweet cheap little cars with good potential. DC2 would be good cheap, reliable fun.
  11. your on a starlet forum what kinda reply do you think you'l get ... actually glanza's and ep82's are shit vtec wins yO got a try a V or Gt atleast once there great little cars, with very good tuning potential
  12. not sure about the vignette you put in, closes up the photo take that off and you will have a much cleaner picture imo. plus the vignette isnt actually round, its more oval which looks funny. nice edit though
  13. are you going to roll and flair the rear arch? personally i think it looks a bit odd, but with a nice flair it would work soo much better. plus i would want to get it done and out the way in case pulling the arch cracks the paint and you have to rub it down and touch it up again. just my opinion of course haha
  14. That's a good price mate, especially in today's modern climate and how insurance is.
  15. your classed as a young driver till your 25... dont see why the magical 25 makes you any more sensible but never mind. i'l be 23 this year with 5 yncb no convictions blah blah blah, i still get pocket rapped every month for insurance insurance is a joke end of! that's why my Subaru has to go
  16. as above has absolutely no effect on the shaft or compressor blade, if it did people wouldn't bother doing it mate
  17. cheers mate , this year is all about style! quick photoshop of black roof and with a black roof and black wheels
  18. as in engine? yeah i would love a rotary but the whole point of getting this car was that fuel etc is to expensive. so a nice little 1.6 will do me for the time being i still have my 350bhp scoob if i feel the need for speed lol! just photoshoped my roof black so will upload that now...
  19. roof will be going satin black but going to wait till all the little bits are done and it can all gets sprayed up at once. i was going to take the hard top off and use the black soft top but it was cold and i couldn't be arsed
  20. well went about fitting my XXr's this morning, first problem i encountered was that even without my coilovers fitted the cars is still to low to get my jack under so... Had to ghetto it up a bit and drive over some spare wood to raise the car enough to get the jack under Luckily found the Spigot rings and wheel nuts from my previous wheels fitted these bang on! well happy with that aaand... because i haven't given you guys a decent photo yet i thought i would be kind and qive you a quick peak of its current state: arnt i kind Next up is an arch roll! really badly need one as the
  21. Lauch control will only kill a shit clutch... i run LC and a very mild AL on my Scoob. You can get a switchable AL system so its not always on otherwise as sparky said you be going through turbos like there's no tomorrow lol. I'v already shat my new billet Td05 , but pretty certain it had nothing to do with my AL though lol, was oil related. either way with the correct set up then its not that bad for short stints
  22. Niiice, bet you wanted it back to just look at lol but having it go to Ricky is even better as it will all come together even quicker I look forward to seeing some yummy day shot of the glorious paint work and engine
