  5. get dimensions for the ones that are for sale and make them out of cardboard and see how they would fit.
  6. if you plan on going FTE then base it around that. you will need a 2.5inch system. most decats and starlet turbo exhausts will be 2.5inch diameter
  7. 85-90 is about right i have a 85 and its good.
  8. you can get away with putting a filter on the breather on the left hand side of engien bay, but if you want to install catch can for were PCV valve goes then you need to remove the PCV valve as it relies on manifold pressure to work properly. I took the PCV valve out and left the o-ring inside, then put the catch can pipe into the o-ring that fits nice and tight, (bit of a bodge but it works)
  9. short journeys? starlet over fuel standard and doin lots of short journey means that it will return low MPG. also driving style, have a look at you boost gauge. if you cruising around and have it on 0 boost you got a heavy foot. the gauge will tell you how hard your accelerating.
  10. i have done this and it's pretty easy, make sure you leave some fluid in the rack. loop the powersteering to inlet manifold vacuum. also loop the power steering fluid in and out , i cut the steel pipe because you cant just take off the rubber pipe. they are next to each other so its not a big loop. all is left is to rip the pump and the rest out. your steering will be a lot heavier when stationary and under load, but you will get used to it. some people dont like. these people most of time driver power steering cars and find it a pain.
  11. i would say closer to 10kg for all 3, they dont weight much to be honest.
  12. ^^ bit suprising to be honest, cant get away with much here.
  13. Apexi springs are soft as well. they lower by 35mm and you can you 195/50 if you have alloys with them. but i would reccomend a adjustable panhard rod, as lowering the car will knock rear axle out of alignment meaning drivers side will rub when you have more than 2 people in the back. Im using koni adjustables and got rubbing on the front on the softest setting with hard cornering. ride is pretty good, nice and controlled.
  14. as long as the adhesive plate is the right size and reflective you will be fine. Rbz's is too small, and your just asking to be pulled.
  15. starlet with a good rubber on the some alloys. 195/50 would be best in my opinion in term of handling and comfort. Apexi spring lower by 35mm but they are pretty soft for lowering springs, so you will need uprated shock absorber with them as well, otherwise in hard cornering the car will rub. if you lower the car you will need a adjustable panhard rod because lowering will knock rear axle out of line. anti-lift kit and polybushing will help tighten the handling as well. Most member will say miester's are the best coilover in terms of handling and comfort, as they have a big variety in setti
  16. if you do put td04 on, then get a adjustable actuator and turn the boost down to 0.5.
  17. put a pic up and we'll tell you what you can get rid of
  18. ^^ as above it will be the catch, i used electrical tape but dont put too much on or the boot wont shut.
  19. apparently the number plate has to be in front of your front wheels, so you cant stick it on your windscreen
  20. <p>as above some people get the wrong plates which are illegal they are called the "gloss" finish. you have to get the reflective one and you will be fine.
  21. check the condition of your spark plugs. should be brown in colour. also could try to reset ecu by disconnecting battery for 30mins. might help
  22. looks like you have a dip in power between 4250-4750rpm. could be something simple like missfire or it just needs tuning
