Woooot...200?! stuff me,i thought my old alternator for my saxo was alot being 100! Spank my ass and call me sally..I think i might just put up with the noise, or maybe wire up some kinda dynamo to the wheels to get a charge.. Im gonna check the speaker wires, i thought it could be interferance because i had all the dash out not so long ago when i was fitting me ecu and gauges.. Thanks for the heads up on the cost bud, Any more ideas on what to check etc lads?

Awesomeness, thanks darling ;) Numptys haha

When you sit inside the car it sounds as if theres a loud whiring, kinda high pitched noise comming from behind the dashboard. Im assuming the alternators dying, but i dont want to remove it and get a replacement if its not that. It makes the noise louder when you first start it, then gradually decreases in volume a tad, but never goes away. Its rpm dependant and its there no matter what gear youre in and clutch up or down. Anybody know where i can get a replacement alternator from? And how many bolts are there that hold it into the holder ? 3?

Will Decat'ing My Car Fail The MOT ?
Glanza_Ragger replied to BradGTT's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Unless youre running silly fuelling, youll pass the basic idle no problems.Just make sure the testers dont test it on a uk spec. If they do, there numptys -
How did you resolve it bud?

A Wee noise coming from the O/S Wheel arch?
Glanza_Ragger replied to starlybruiser's topic in Alignment & Alloys
Take the wheel off, check all the inner arch plastics are firmly clipped in. Check the wheel nuts, check the brakes, damper, everything. Failing that, jack that side wheel up and see if it wobbles.Check the bearing. -
Ill blow the cobwebs off of photoshop then

Only a few people on here would really benefit from water injection tbh bud ;) People running savage power or people with too much time and money on there hands

Generally speaking, if you pay little money you will get a wank job.Stitching thats been done by a blind man after several ciders..Cheap materials..Poor fit. You'll be looking towards a grand, upwards for a decent trim in leather or a high quality cloth such as recaro grade. Alcantara is just silly expensive.Youre looking at around £100 a metre for genuine alcantara so go measure youre seats and go figure Best bet is to look through the yellow pages, arrange to go and see some of there work first.Just like a bodyshop.

Its not really worth it i wouldnt have thought bud. Not unless you wanted to run a silly big turbo and high boost, then it would aid the cooling and lower the chances of det occuring. And about the injectors... i dont know.. just as i dont know why some females have big breasts and some only have small.. Just one of them thangs

Ill even bet my right testicle just for the hell of it

Mate, reading spec lists is for n00bs..Way too easy lolz Honestly i didnt see the ecu in the list haha my bad. And if you think thats dirty, you should check mine out. Ive done 50miles on mine so far but the fact its not been cleaned in over a year doesnt help. The front bumper still has oil on it from when it decided it didnt like the taste of the rods and spat them out down the motorway Thats going to be savage to say the least, Id love to go for a crazy sized turbo for the power but i cant handle lag.. Lags bad....mmmkay

Get somebody whos handy, unscrew/rivet the rear foglight holder, pull the whole unit out and put a new screw/rivet into the side of the foglight unit. It has one screw either side holding it into the surround cage. Then the fecker wont pop out.. Failing that, buy a tub of resin and permantly stick the light into the bumper... like me

Paul that first song is amazing.Love that. -
lolol Might even be a ct9 with a blitz logo thats been uber carefully cut off and welded to the casing

I would bet my left testicle that the engine management light came on because it was nearing fuel cut. As long as it doesnt start juddering heavily, then ignore the light. Do an ecu error code check just to make sure theres no faults..If theres none then just ignore the light. Only start worrying when youre booting it and it feels like youve run over several small children or smashed through 10 brick walls

What is you favourite driving song?

Depends on what mood im in lolz. Both are quite heavy going tunes though.. Rage against the machine - bomb track or Chase & Status - hurt you -
Im in shock...

I would seriously listen and take Wallace's advice mate. If you fit a fcd with no alterations to the fuelling, and it boosts even slightly higher than standard it CAN damage youre engine. Listen to what myself and others have said, take the fcd off and purchase an adjustable actuator first! FCD's are wank anyway even when run with regulators/pumps. Like i said, as well as Wallace, if its set on number 2, and you take the car out for a spin on a cold night for example, and it boosts higher due to creep or just the fact that the airs colder and denser...The fuel cut wont be in place, and the fc
