  2. im using a AVC-R from apexi buddy! engine isnt back yet, but the shell is coming home from the bodyshop tonite most likely no.... but if steve-gt's car is running ill prolly be coming in that! he best be going! :/

  4. it could be that adam, i did say it looked fucking old! does it hold temp ok? you could just try taking the water pump and alternator belt off and start it for like 10seconds see if the noise stops!?
  5. that gasket will be fine, just run less boost... lower the compression you compensate with more boost.. raise it and u then compensate with less boost... shud be fine as long as u dont boost it up too high

  8. cudnt say.... but had same problem on a mates starlet just recently... try unplugging it budy and taking it fro a drive it might stall at idle but shud rev perfectly if its the TPS!
  9. err and an ep3 will be cheaper to buy? nope... headgasket wont be that much to fix and once its done if u skim head too will last yonks!

  15. we defo nailed all the earths back to there orignal locations asad! the engine coolant temp sensor (into the thermostat housing yeh?) i tried unplugging it and it made no difference ,just turned the rad fan on...

Me and Adz changed the engine in "Project MURX" this weekend... http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=35336 everything sounds sweet, but the water temp gauger on the dash, as soon as you turn the ignition on, flies straight up to max. It doesnt come down to half way, cus we thought it might be running backwards. So for some reason its reading Max 24/7... now the engine we got camewith all the sensors... we just swapped his inlet, a/t, pas pump and starermotor over.... So we think it has to be a sensor or a connection on the engine somewhere.. anyone have any ideas? Matt.

  18. oil pressure switchs just screw in. oil pumps can be a cunt... if its oil pump your bottom end shells will start knocking which is new engine... but try the oil pressureswitch first dude there not expensive!

  21. they can take 1.0-1.2bart on stock healthy engine no problems! id have 0.6 bar for daily. then 1.1-1.2bar for fun... ull see 220-230bhp u think its quick now!
  22. yeh remove the fuel cut defender first then use the ecu! ;) flog the defender, recoop some £££
