No... I believe it intercepts a map sensor signal... SO you would need to rejoin those wires...

Boost Leak or vac leak... If you on a stock actuator though. They slowly deteriorate over time... and start to get too weak to hold the flap shut...
-
As Gainzy Said... Take the FCD off... FUel Cut is to protect your engine. You should only be bypassing that protection if your mapping the car!

The threaded rod on the actuator, is connected to the internal wastegate trapdoor. Which dumps boost when a set limit is reached. To maintain a boost level... As a base. Take the locking nut off and tension the rod so it just keeps pressure on the wastegate to keep it shut. You can then tighten it more and more to raise the boost. Or use a boost controller.. Shorter the rod/more tension - More Boost Longer the rod/less tension - Less Boost

It has custom baffle plates with built in trap doors to allow oil to easily gain access to the oil pickup area but not easily escape under hard cornering or acceleration. Oil pressure is vital and when throwing a starlet around with sticky tyres, lots of boost and decent brakes. It's very easy for the oil to slosh around inside the pan. Considering somthing like this could well have saved many 4eftes from dieing. As a split second of low oil pressure could be fatal. It's a pretty wise investment if you have expensive engines or turbos. I am open to offers on this too btw.
