How loud are straight through exhausts on a turbo?
WallaceGlanza replied to Amjad's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
The screamer is effectively a completely open pipe from the cylinder head when the EWG opens, so no turbo to muffle the noise, of course you can route the screamer into the exhaust to quieten it down. -
How loud are straight through exhausts on a turbo?
WallaceGlanza replied to Amjad's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Yeah without an external wastegate and screamer they're not that loud with a straight through (I don't think mine is anyway), the screamer is what makes the noise! -
I'm still running one. ;)
-
I don't think they made the kit, it was an xs power core and pipework made by autofixed - an evo tuning garage.
-
It gives you more options then a P&P and if you're not looking for silly power then it will do the job fine over a stand alone, seeing as you're looking at Wallace Performance too it's a good option as Matty is happy to work with the Blue, it's what I'm running.

I was shocked by how cheap my remap was!
-
Well it comes with the ignition and injector harnesses which you do want to get a better tune from it, ideally you also want the 3 bar map sensor other than that it's just a case of fitting (wiring in) and mapping.
-
I had mine there a couple of times and Matty is sound, seemed to do a good job of mapping mine.
-
Get a male to female adaptor and stick it into the inlet first so the sensor sits out further.
-
The evo recaros and the likes have a mounting hole for the belt buckle on the seat itself like the stock seats, nice and straightforward.

Never seen this guide before. Good effort mate, I'll be referring to it soon! -
Need new strut mount bushes where to go ?
WallaceGlanza replied to blackmar12246's topic in Chassis & Suspension
The whole new strut tops can be bought new from Toyota, camskill or maybe id workz. -
2nd ones are the "carbon culture" side skirts.
-
The furthest out hole will be the softest setting, as you say mikey it has the most leverage further out so is easier to twist and hence softer.
-
This will likely just confuse people further?!? But here's mine now... Was working well (collecting oil), even better when the engine started breathing heavy - filled the catch can in 40 miles.
-
The lsd is external to the box on the drivers side so it's pretty obvious, it should also come with the shorter driveshaft on that side.
-
Tbf only the water temp gauge is useful out of them (and the sensor for it isn't even included).... and maybe the fuel pressure if you really want a fifth/sixth gauge!
-
These are the original ones which were sold by tm developments ( who go them from a company in glasgow), they look much nicer than the cj ones imo. Not exactly genuine anything though...

Buddyclub P1 racing II, which someone has ruined! http://www.ravspeconline.com/images/wheels/buddyclub-wheels.jpg

Take the bumper off to do it. It's easy to cut the plastic, a hacksaw and dremel to get into the tight areas and for smoothing after will help. Ideally you would want to fill the slots which are left too, then paint over.
-
It's pretty clear from the 2nd photo that's a stock mani which has been ported - and roughly, around the collecter diameter, a casting wouldn't be finished like that.
-
Probably easier to get a pair of new ones, they're just generic so hit up ebay.
