Blitz active/ORC 309, will take 300lb ft and fine to drive normally, just nice and aggressive. The rattle with the clutch down is pretty race car too!

Installed diff but want to check for g/box condition

If the magnet was covered in swarf then that is obviously a bad sign, if the magnet was there that is! -
That made me feel sea sick.

You can't have the found the limit otherwise you would've had either oversteer or understeer.

kidV's STA2LET... Big, Phat, Dirty, Blown Update... 18/08/13
WallaceGlanza replied to kidV's topic in EP91 Progress Blogs
Bit different! Manifold is awesome, what boost are you running? Not too sure about the exhaust note though! -
Depends what the limiter is set at! - 7500rpm is 140mph ish

The LSD may increase transmission loses ever so slightly but would effect both power and torque. Was the car dyno'd on the same rolling road after the remap?

It was just trying to get the shaft in the hole - my usual problem. Finally maned up and got it in now, some nice bruises on my stomach and arms though!

An E46 330d with the later M57N engine is 204bhp and 300 lb ft standard, with a remap will be up to around 250bhp and 380lb ft, with a decat and a few other little bits around 270bhp and 400lb ft and you'll still get 50mpg. MPG increases a lot with remap and decat.

Getting seriously pissed off doing this on mine now!

The large central nut on the top of the coilover likely needs tightened, they will knock if it isn't.

Little light fwd cars like ours will always have lift off oversteer regardless off the RARB being fitted or not. My car seemed very neutral on track once the tyres were upto temperature - before that there was a bit of oversteer as the rears naturally take longer to warm up. I do have a thicker front arb too (and coilovers, braces, poly bushes etc). A bit of oversteer is not a bad thing either as it gives you more adjustability than persistant understeer.

Been in exactly the same position trying to get the box back on previously, took me about 3 days and 4 folk had a try at it! It can just be a pain to get the spline to engage but as above, lying on your back with the box on your chest is the best way. I'll be trying to re-fit mine on Sunday with its new addition. ;)

Yes, hub adaptors. Like so: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-PCD-Adaptors-to-convert-4x100-hubs-to-5x120-wheels-/200948336649?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item2ec9744809

The discs are probably just not quite as well balanced as the oem ones.

A bung welded in your exhaust? Some people say there's a minimum charge and some will argue that there's not.... If it's still the same guys at stainless creations they're pretty sound, did me a full exhaust a looong time ago for a decent price.
-
Pretty sure they're all cable. Are you sure it's not just a converter for kmh to mph?

TOTB 2013 FWD Handling Winner
WallaceGlanza replied to Mad Mike EP82's topic in UKSO Main Events 2019
Well done mate, good to see someone interested in handling and not just powaa! -
Yeah it does say it's not even a starlet in the article so it's never gospel but it doesn't take anything away from Ryan's work.

Nut uh, I bought just the inverter from the guy who originally made them but it blew too and cost about 30 quid, they're generic things and can be had from the states for cheaper - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310707656378?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Yup it will be the transistor box/invertor thing, I've had it blow twice now. Pain in the ass.

New Wiki Scans - Ryan-11's Banzai Feature!
WallaceGlanza replied to Socks's topic in News & General Announcements
Well deserved Ryan. Didn't realise you'd had quite so many problems, even more than me! -
Does the pad slide freely in the carrier? - sounds like it could be sticking at one side. These rust up easily and grip the pads too much.
