  1. Not completely true, the mocal thermostatic sandwich plate is always open slightly to allow a little flow through and on my car it over cools with normal driving running a 13 row cooler in the summer with the cooler covered in duct tape! (in winter I took the cooler out completely). An inline thermostat is completely closed when closed. You'll definately need a thermostat and I would definately recommend an inline one.
  2. Looks much cleaner now - although I quite liked the little corner splitters. As above nice break on the mani, I also like how much sealant was needed on the flange to get it to seal!
  3. I got fined for having mine hanging from the sun visor. Double sided foam mounting tape works fine - http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/decorating-sundries/painting-and-decorating-tools-accessories/tape/-specificproducttype-double_sided_tape/B-and-Q-Double-Sided-Foam-Mounting-Tape-BQ62-White-W-19mm-x-L-1-5m-9254473 Held mine on for years.
  4. There are two types of oil pressure senders for the 4efte - one with the round plate as you described which needs a spade type connector and the other is a normal plug connector.
  5. I'm needing a new fuel tank as I've stupidy caused a leak on mine, so anyone have one - preferably locally so I can collect. It needs to be the later Ep91 type as there seems to be 2 styles, I need the one with this fuel pump cover: Also I could do with the 2 rubber hoses which are attached to the filler as it look like the jubilee clips on mine are going put up a fight! Cheers Wallace
  6. Go 330d - the engine is sooooo much better and barely any less economical, it even sounds good (6 cylinder). 250bhp, 380ft lb and 48mpg are capable on the later (2003/2004) 330d's with a remap. ;) As Iddy said - awesome cars for the daily.

  8. So I contacted poweflex about this as I said and on Friday I got a sample kit through to trial fit, which I did and fit they do... Firstly comparison of the two bushes, GT on the right glanza on the left: A more obvious comparison: And bushes fitted: They fit perfectly, nice and tight but the axle still pivots freely - no road test yet though and there won't be for a few weeks as the car has many bits missing! Powerflex should now be putting these into production for the glanza soon.
  9. Might need a pickle fork if they're tight to help ease (bash) them out.
  10. Try the sunvisor if you want to be different!
  11. Seen this at knockhill too, was wondering who's it was. Also seen the s chassis bbq - pretty cool!
  12. Oh yeah, forgot about that one. As above though totally pointless unless you're an optional extra whore.
  13. They're actually loose but an absolute piece of piss to change, they both just pop in.
  14. That spline does sound small.... I'm using these with 15mm spacers: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item564240ddad I used an hydraulic press to fit them in the rear discs and a impact gun to pull them through the front hubs.
  15. They're good but Meisters are better for road use.
