  1. I had no problems on the road and through winter with a standard thermostat, measuring the temp with a defi gauge too. That was a 40mm thick but I think just single core one.
  2. Type S, I'm selling the genuine TRD cap I was using if you're interested.
  3. I was using one too and worked perfectly. However if your hks cap is for the standard radiator it probably won't fit,the aftermarket radiators use a different type.
  4. Just the stem seals. All you need is some spring compressors, pretty easy but fiddly job. The valves are a bugger to clean too. Best to blow the head out with an airline ideally, if you have access to one, to make sure all the water galleries are clear.
  5. It could be that you need a different type of radiator cap- they're not all the same, especially on the civics and whether it's an oem radiator or not: http://www.icbmotorsport.com/junauhiperac.html Shameless plug - I've got a TRD cap (Type S) that fits the aftermarket type ones for sale;)
  6. Camber is adjustable on the front wheels with standard shocks as one of the wholes is slightly elongated.... sounds like a shit garage!
  7. I've got 15 thick ones...
  8. I made my own puller that gets the pulley off without damage - The two holes on the pulley are tapped holes so you just need to bolt a bit of flat bar to the pulley, drill and tap a hole in the middle of the bar then tighten a bolt up against the pulley bolt head (with the bolt already loose obviously).
  9. Servicing schedule is actually less than a glanza if both by the book, evo is every 4.5k miles for engine oil and filter and it's also recommended to change the AYC fluid every 4.5k but it's only 1 litre so a tenner. Obviously if you're getting them serviced at Mitsubishi or a specialist the cost would be higher than a glanza would be. It's also nice to have a full dealer service history on something like an evo for re-sale but I'm doing it myself and just keeping my own log and all the paperwork to prove it. I even averaged 23.5mpg on first tank of v-power which surprised me!
  10. See post no. 8 mate and if you get the sr sold give me a shout!
  11. Of course I'll miss it sentimentally but the evo more than makes up for it! It doesn't feel as raw as the glanza and at times not even as quick but it's just because it's so much more planted at all times that it's deceptively quicker, its good that it feels just a little more grown up but still goes some! Buy one!
  12. Cheers guys, already spent far too much money on it and barely driven it - bloody salty roads! Insurance was a pleasant price, barely any higher than the glanza but I did have a good shop around to get it and I'm also getting kind of old.
  13. Low temp. stats are not a fix for anything, would rather have a cooling panel than run the engine at a lower temp than its designed to operate at.
  14. Probably crank seal yeah, absolute pain in the arse on these things. Even new ones leak!
  15. Decent price on the din gauge if it comes with all the sensors, love mine!
