what would cause detonation on a tuned car. my old engine was setup on hks fcon and rolling roaded etc to 200bhp and i had that problem twice. but the car had run fine for ageeees before. when i built a whole new bottom end it happened again in about 6 months. is that likely to have been detonation or just maybe a bit to much hard drivin for standard pistons ?
wow what a rape. 20% income tax , 20% vat , 24% import duty and vat haha and thats not ment to be stealing. mine is comin from malta so dunno if that will be any different
garage will know what to do and normal belt should be fine. i think uprated belts are way overpriced. think of all the standard cars running over 200 bhp that belts only cost a few quid for so they cant be made much different
im also shiting it about this as i have a rather expensive package that just got held at customs lol gonna hit the roof if they charge me. why the hell do i need to pay vat then pay tax again on somethin paid for on my already taxed money . its rape on a financial level
been to the shed and took some pictures. the crank seal is not the one that is different. just as id hoped the one in my shed is opposite to urs. me seal is in the block and my oil pump is smooth with no groove yet still crankseal is on the pump. the one that is different is the little thin o ring. however in this case it wouldnt have mattered as your conclusion was the right one although for the wrong reason lol with seal in with seal removed hope that clears things up
i could be completely wrong but i always thought the one that was sometimes on the pump and sometimes on the block was the little o ring that goes round the actual pumping part. the crank seal that you have pointed out is that not always on the pump ?
well if money is an issue with the gt then i wouldnt bother buyin a car thats rarer nd gonna cost more to fix than a gt if it does break lol. just my 2p tho
for running a bar most people will say standalone such as a blitz , jam ecu because its plug n play so no need for a rolling road. about 500 sheets but probably the cheapest and safest option taking into consideration the traveling costs to get to a mapper
still plenty time in 2011 for u to decide yet lol. best thing ever may happen ;). defo keep cast on till its at least done a bit of healing. my dad broke his foot about 30 years ago and the hospital failed to even notice and now he has a massive bolt through it holdin it together and still gives him pain.
