Spoke to mitch about this last night when i went to pick my wheels up lol. I shall be there with my local car club, Nipponsquad. We are the 5 a side champions in football ;) hehe. Its on the list my friend. just funds are short at the moment where does the second hose go on the catch cans? one goes from that pipe to the can then where does the other hose go to from the can? @Luke: thanks luke for the info, i can see it when i look but i couldnt seem to reach it if i remember rightly, just looked well and truely blocked in there but i shall have another go tommrow

@DAN: yes very fortunate as that could have punched a hole anywhere and completely torn the internals to bits?? doesnt sound good man @luke: erm i honestly cannot remember matey as it was some time ago. 3 months maybe? i should probably just change the oil anyway tommorow while im at it. while on that topic, how would you recomend getting at the oil filter? Sorry for all double posts. erm there is a little breather on there at the minute and it still whistles. how would it connect up tlo a dump valve?? :/

Yes my friend thats the once i mean, its like a little piece of metal piper about 10mm diameter that sticks up from the rocker about an inch i think its the oil breather pipe?

I would say it was a good 15cm over the full mark when i checked earlier.. IS this a significant amount to overfill by? To fix this i could just remove the bolt to drain a little out? be messy but would sort it yes? Dan

Ok so tommorow i should check for shaft play? oil in the intercooler and joining pipes? also the turbo air intake pip thingy i should check for oil in therE? Could putting to much oil in cause any problems??

By a lot of oil you mean Absolutely loads covering the rocker or just a spread around the oil breather? @Luke: The exhaust exit at the rear of the car matey

OOOO sounds like scary stuff lol i have never played with my turbo before. whats the best way to get at it?? can i just get to the oil feed and turbo from beneath the car or does anything have to be removed?? also can i run a hybrid as a direct replacement or would i need all supporting mods??

Would it still boost and hold boost if this was the case? also the car is feeling a little down on power.. Also this sounds like nothing major does it to anybody? just turbo problems? I am dreading piston rings or something like that.. however i hope this isnt the case Dan

Eek that doesnt sound good at all is there anyway i can check the things you mentioned? im just starting to do all this DIY stuff myself soo still learning where all bits and bobs are Ect. how can i check oil pressure? and would the oil feed coming off mean there is no oil going through the turbo meaning no lubrication?? also another Thing that came to my attention was a very high pitched whistling sort of noise coming from the oil breather pipe (not sure on name for it) Dan

So tonight at my local car club meet, a few of us went for a nice little blast down a dual carriage way and upon return my friend said a lot of smoke was coming out of my exhaust when it was pulling. so i immediatly became worried and notified another member of the club. anyway cut a long story short, aswell as the smoke on acceleration, if the car is left just idling, after about 10 minutes the floor beneath the exhaust has been painted Black in an oily substance, and also i held my hand underneath exhaust and it appeared to be spitting out a Brown/Black oily substance and a fiar amount of it, I was wondering if somebody could help me out with this problem. And i have also searched and read thorugh all the smoking topics created but non of them seem to answer me. why is it spitting oil out? :/ Also last time i changed the oil in my Glanza i somehow managed to put too much oil in so the engine was overfilled. and i didnt get round to letting some of the oil out. could this be a cause?? I really am confused. my friend instantly said my turbo is fecked? Thanks in advance for any Replies! Dan
