Don't touch boost, not until it's set up! You could be causing it to run lean and pre det. First things first, are your fuel lines on the FPR the right way around? Some FPR's are renowned for losing pressure and causing it to crank a few times before it starts. Best idea, set Fuel regulator to 2.4bar set the FCD to the off position if you can with your fcd? IF you have the HKS fcd some starlets prefer either 7 or 8 as far as I can remember usually will work best on one or another. But hugely better to leave it off and set fuel reg to standard fuel pressure until it's been set up on a dyne/wideband whichever you choose.

Rev 3 MR2 Turbo fits the plug, I think thats 3 bar, would recommend checking for sure before buying mind you.

Have sent you a text, and also messaged you on Facebook it maybe in 'others', won't show an add friend button for some reason probably privacy settings related? Not much to report back, just had a go at sorting the gearbox issue but it has had the throw extended and welded so I do need another shifter unit... I have removed the BOV blank and put in a nice Blitz Super Sound, have tried to kinda hide it away to keep it looking tidy. Also tried removing and relocating the air filter as it sits in the grille, unfortunately theres zero room for it with the short route I/C pipe so I'll have to use my imagination. I would also like to put another grille back in as it has been removed so I will have to source another. Lastly, the car has had a good clean to keep it in the pristine condition it is in! Still very undecided on future or plans, as it is very subtle and I do like it that way, it's not very often you come across a glanza that's not been fettled with much, but if I do decide to start upgrading bit's I'll be looking for top quality and probably rarer parts. Who knows!

Try the original pump, does sound like it could be map sensor, has the timing been fiddled with at all ignition or engine? Can you compression test it for piece of mind? Did it get tested before you got it? Change the pressure reg or the setting to same as old. I have a few bits here if you need anything let me know I may have other engine bits left laying around that could be worth trying but sounds like you have most. Can you try that old MAP sensor that was on your car before I changed it?

your probably running around stock power, depends what the other cars engine sizes were as to weather it is running as it should or not, maybe worth a compression test.

Can hear that hunting, sounds like a bit of a knock/tap is that just the affect of the video? It's not incredibly easy to hear when you say running shit, what exactly are the symptoms? does it behave as it should on boost?

post up a video, stock fuel pressure is 2.4bar area, if you can post a video of the way it's running we maybe able to give some more helpful info
