  1. diz less systems use a capasitive discharge ignition system giving same kv at all operating rpms. wer as distributer systems run a inductive discharge system wer as kv will drop off over 3000rpm normaly and will keep droping the more the rpm increases. look at the fc fire control systems by jacobs electronics its like a piggy back ecu for distributor systems helping keep kv up by incorperating a cap discharge system in a distributor system. also the c4 coil is very good wen runnig big boost presure means you do not have to close the plug gap. also the N/A distibutor is totaly different to
  2. lol, i do not watch alot of telly just work on cars, and lovly little turbos at that. cheers for correcting me mate i know i could count on you.
  3. its all good mate as long as you use a oil thermostate and temp gauge, and prime your lines before start up.
  4. i can see im giving away all my little secrets here. should change my name to ASDA, because every little helps?. this is 1 of the first things to do on any car. look at the car as a hole and take away any restriction thn start the big mods.
  5. good stuff mate thy way quite abit to so its a double bonus.
  6. if your tank vacums it trys to pull fuel back into the tank making the pump work harder. wen you remove this it allows the fuel pump to free flow. really basic pro moding. you can even shorten the tank vent to the tank and this will help even more. cant belive its not know on here. its like wen you fill a coke bottle with water and turn it up side down with no hole in the top it will try and hold the water in the bottle because of the vacume created but if you put a hole in the top it flows out fast.
  7. its a item that is for the enviroment once again. it stops the fuel tank venting to atmospher and recerculates the vapour back into the engine mainly on cold start up. the reason u take thm out is thy inpeed the fuel pump by restricting the flow creating a vacum in the tank wich pulls the fuel back from the pump. wen filling your car with fuel if wen u open the filler cap thr is a vacum (or hissing noise) thn get rid of the charcole canister.
  8. gutted fella will do a clutch for you for 120, but that is if i can get your friction plate reconed if not 170. but do not tell any 1 else the price my mate
  9. me coming in my civic RRRRRR. peeps, would love to com in the roller but to much work in at the mo to get it sorted in time, story of my life at the mo. will put the turbos to the ultimate n/A test. lol.
  10. yep fella the other test is the cylinder leakage test, and to remove the charcoal filter just remove all inlet pipes and canister, leave the fuel tank venting to atmospher and block off any pipes going into the inlet track, glad you like fella every little helps, did you manage to get them sparks.
  11. treat her nice now paul!!. and sorry for the delay as from a mess of wiring under the bonnet and dash and wielding decats and straightening turbo coolant pipes and so on, we hit lots of left over problems from its past. but getting thr we are and she will be a very clean motor. hope you like the ported head and opened out exhaust valves should improve mid range to top end power. got some pics for you to put on here. and give the turbo chance. it did leak slightly on start up but oil presure was slightly high as of the petrolium jelly in your oil pump and assembly paste working its way out the
  12. could be a number of things fella try a new earth lead to the batery from engine around 6mm. these cars are getting on a bit now and things will decay. but do check your plugs as i have seen lots of fouled plugs on these wat fuel presure u runnig. and wat fuel cut thing you got.
  13. looks like a good day peeps, gutted i missed it. lots of rubber and smoke and little blow off valves!!!!!. GUTTED.
  14. also its the corrola my mate, it is the idle air control vale for the choke its a thermostate that controls idel speed acording to coolant temp same on the turbos. but it still has the old idle screw in the top that is screwed right in, thy used this wen thr was no heated idel valve or ECU controled idel valve, back in the days of the CO screw. its like watching the toyota evolution.
  15. good point but not going to happen, he is running a open air filter coming from under the bonnet, temps get hot under thr. the way i under stand the divce it adds heat to the inlet charge to thin out the air less air less fuel ECO, plus thr are many throttle bodys out thr that do not have heaters take my civic type r,= no heating, but thn not very ECO, also on some intake systems thy do add heat to the air charge at lowwer rpm, reason is thy have large ports and the air does not flow faster nuff to keep the fuel suspended so heat is used to vaperise the fuel, bad thing about this is it adds h
  16. glad you like fella. the under side has the idel valve removed because its water temp operated and causes alot of heat soak in the inlet charge.
  17. lol!!, i was a mile out wer i was putting mine lol, thanks for the pic lads
  18. lads, anybody got a pic of 1 fitted plz, need help.
  19. ello fella, me to needs help with these, can see wer about it fits but mine iz hitting the water pump pully, lol, might just be me being stupid??!!!.
