The most effective way of stopping it coming back is to use a spot sandblaster. It will remove very little of the metal but gets deep into it to remove the corrosion. Or you can use rust converter stuff that like an acid that kills the corrosion and stops it then paint over the area. Grinding takes too much of the steel away for me on panels that are very thin to start with. One thing to be sure of is you get the treatment well into the joint of the two panels as thats were it will have started. This is what I would use http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_

It perfectly normal for them to make a noise like that even the n/a engine does it I think its down to the noise from the cam and the air flow through the baffle plate in the cover.

Cheers lads!! and yes it does spool very well for a TD05 16G im hitting full boost for 4000 or just over and as for traction its not too bad on a good dry day but it depends because some times I still get spin in 3rd and 4th depending on the road surface! John yes I have plenty of japfest convoy video just need to finish chopping it down theres about 3 hours of video to go at!! plus the wind noise was realy bugging me on it hence trying to reduce it ready for JF2!!!!

As Jay said is always best to use a fuse the closer to the battery the better this is where I put mine its the black box on the front of the battery box. http://s87.photobucket.com/user/turbosr_2006/media/toylet/null_zps78b8c6c3.jpg.html'>

Rocker cover baffle
Rob H@RCH Engineering replied to Glanza Mac's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
I ground off the lugs that hold it in place then drilled and tapped it 6mm to bolt it back in with a small bead of silicone now it can be taken out when ever needed. Don't forget to stud lock the bolts tho ya don't want them falling out! -
